Again I really enjoyed this one, though slightly less than the first one.
I didn't like how her friend (the first books h) kept egging her on to lie.
And again the ending was a bit rushed. I want more around the mating.
Safety gang - h is a virgin, H isn't but hasn't been with anyone in years. There's no OW or OM drama at all

There was a lot that I liked about this book but I also had a few issues. Overall it’s a good quick novella read and it’s one if you want to know what’s happening in the next book, you can’t miss it.
I like the how the author keeps the whole Woods family voices in the book. I also enjoyed the mating scene. My issues was the romance between these two felt a bit more rushed than the first book. Plus these two spend their time having sex. So I felt I missed their connection. I also didn’t care for the sex scene where Krista lost her virginity, it read more like she has sex all of her life instead of the first time. But yet she was in a hurry to get rid of her problem LOL.
I really liked the cliffhanger ending it makes you want the next book right then. I hope in the next book we will get how these guys became shifters and I hope Krista’s sister gives the dad a run for his money. She already seems to be one out for herself. It would be great to be able to get more into the minds of the brothers and get more detail about them.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
The cover is another one I definitely like, but I have a thing for big cats especially the shifter kind ;)
This is another novella length about 90 or so pages, and it is the 2nd book in this series. This is for adults only due to the sexual content, and it is very steamy :) I got this book in a bundled shifter set I bought.
Reviews for me are always difficult because I think your mood and feelings always have an effect on what you think of a book when you read it. This is also why I try to get my reviews done as soon as I finish a book or at least for me I start losing my thoughts. I don’t always mention this, but my reviews are always on my enjoyment of the story and I try to add things that someone might find useful when deciding whether or not the book is for them. So always go with your own gut on whether a book is one you will enjoy because you know you best :)

Mandy just does an amazing job with details and her storyline that everything fits beautifully together making a fantabulous story that works all around.
This is Krista and Toby’s story, but the whole Woods family is part of the story which I love because I’d have missed Mikaela and Josh if they were not part of the story too!! The shifter mysteries are unwrapping and things are starting to fit together nicely, but I about died when the book ended because she totally hooked me at the end for the next story. My Review:
hmm, Krista has no idea what she's headed into when she heads out to the Woods family ranch. Mikaela (heroine from book #1) has come up with a plan to find her brother-in-laws mates....she'll bring single women out to the ranch under the ruse that they are in relationships, but they are open ones. She doesn't realize when she hatches this plan with Krista that Krista is actually a virgin.
The reason she's a virgin? She's actually pretty sweet and shy...so when confronted with the brothers, two of which are all over her, she's drawn to the third, Toby who sits quietly in the back not wanting to cause a confrontation with his brothers although he's incredibly drawn to her.
Again, this was a book I enjoyed. There didn't seem to be quite as much story line to this edition, but that may simply be because the world was already established in book #1.
These books are really hot, but I liked that Krista is truly shy, although she's working very hard to hide it. She wants to lose her virginity and she wants Toby to be the one to take it so she has to pursue him. I liked how torn Toby was. He really wants her, but at first he doesn't want to fight his brothers for her (that can be really dangerous with shifters) then he doesn't want to take her because of her virginity. Krista was most definitely the pursuer and it was so opposite of her personality. It was just an interesting little twist to the story.

SURROUNDED BY PLEASURE is the second short story (third storyline) in Mandy Harbin’s Woods Family series focusing on a family of mountain lion shifters. Surrounded by Pleasure is Toby and Krista’s story.
The author takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery. Krista is a woman with no sexual experience and is thrown into a family of sexual charged and highly aggressive males-all wanting to claim her for their own. To keep Krista’s availability undercover and to hide the fact that all of the males are shape shifting mountain lions, her fellow attorney and co-worker Mikaela devises a plan to ensure that the mountain lions keep their distance. But Toby Woods is a shifter whose mountain lion persona knows only one thing-that Krista is his mate to claim.
Mandy Harbin writes another interesting storyline of shape shifters and their need to mate. The Woods family is once again brought together as they war with each other and their inner beast. The world building continues with each successive story line. The mating and conclusion to this particular story was a little rushed, as though the author couldn’t wait to finish and the heroine’s abrupt change from innocent virgin to vixen without so much as considering the consequences was questionable. Overall, if you love a story of sexually charged shape-shifters, the Woods Family series is the purrrrrrfect series for you.

November 25, 2012The second full-length story and third book in the series, Surrounded by Pleasure draws on the reader’s knowledge of the world they are entering, making this a book that needs to be read in series order. Again, we return to the Woods Family Tree Farm, and another unmated young female arrives as an assistant to the attorney we met in book one.
Again, sex and competition between the brothers for the new female in their midst is highlighted, while this heroine is far less brash and self-assured than her colleague. Krista is a quiet and rather shy woman, although her spoken attitude often seems to conflict with her true nature.
We are treated to a less frenetic pace in the dialogue, as the brother who finally claims Krista’s heart and her virginity is by far the quietest in this family of retiring mountain lion shifters. The sex is scorching and hot, with a touch of alpha-domination that all of the males in this series have. Another winner from this author, a smoothly crafted romance for another of the brothers and a quick, satisfying read.

My Review: It has been a while since I read the first book in this series, so I forgot how animalistic Harbin's shifters are and I love it! I enjoy the characters she created, all the brothers are fantastic but I really loved Toby and Thomas in this one. It is a fast steamy read but still enough substance so you don't feel let down. It also ends in quite a stunner and the next book will need to be read immediately!

This was part of an anthology so I didn't choose which book to start with although for some reason book #2 was part of this. I liked it but I am really, really intrigued by book #3 with that huge scene. If you read the book, you know what I mean :) I'm definitely going to be reading book #3 ASAP.

This was a pretty good follow up for Surrounded by Woods. Again, a nice romantic, hot story. However, like the first, it lacked development in the plot. I felt the chemistry between the characters but it left me wanting more. Still a nice read though!

It's very rare for me to rate a sequel higher than I rated the original but this story of Krista and Toby was such a better read, but to my way of thinking that's awesome bc it shows the growth of the author. Happily going on to read the third book now!!!

I really enjoyed this story about the shifters who can't be around females because of their instincts. I mean seriously it is an interesting take on relationships plus there should be a guide on how to get a werecat. This was intense and unnerving especially for the characters involved.

i have read all books in this series. you want to read them in order…They are all quick reads but different than other shifter stories.from book 1 i was interested in learning more about the family and waiting for next book to come out .
