Button Boy by Rebecca Young, illustrated by Sue deGennaro – so thoughtful and beautiful. What do you collect? Banjo collects buttons and then his mom sews them on his jumper… only to notice one by one that the buttons he found can be returned to their owners. Especially appreciate the ending. Talk about a perfect book for discussing caring and sharing with others, and learning how to make friends as well!

Banjo loved collecting buttons. Some he found way up high, and others he found buried beneath leaves and twigs.

Slowly the buttons find their way back to their owners and young Banjo makes many new friends - people worth collecting.
