This book, outside of being checked out by an older elementary student (or older), is not a book for curriculum.
It is an easy read though! It covers, in detail, how humor has played several indirect roles--medicine for the soul, career foundation, and just plain entertainment. My only critique is that the book ends at his life from 1997.
Even though it is not a classroom read, children of an older may be able to understand some of what is discussed in the book, like a very sick mother who didn't always give him attention, or finding yourself through an interest.
This book has personality-explicit pictures and not too much text. Worth the read to understand more deeply where his career started, and has been.
