The Harlan Detective Agency was the best there was when it came to finding missing people. They were also the most expensive, so it was no coincidence that they were hired to find the heir to a fortune totaling over 1.6 billion dollars.

Nicholas Gladstone left everything to a granddaughter he didn't know he had until a week before he died, but which one was it - the maid secretly working in the parent's home, an office worker, or the young woman tragically killed in a car accident?

Not great literature but definitely a good read.

This review is generic across all Talbott's Viking and Highlander books (so if you look for my review of another in this series you'll just see this).

Talbott has done a superb job of recreating the environment and culture of medieval Scotland and Northern England in these two series. No explicit sex and no gratuitous violence (though there is violence appropriate to the time and place of the novels). Perfect romantic historic fiction with enough swashbuckling tension to appeal to almost anyone. While I am well past adolescence (nearly to senescence), I believe YA readers looking for an entertaining read would like these novels as much as I did.

Highly recommended.

Very Very Very Good Story!

I laughed plenty. I loved this book. I loved the characters and storyline so much. Callum and Kylie, Patrick and Graw and Tavan. It made me sad at the end with Laura. Their father got what he deserved being thrown from the horse that he stole. Such a good read! On to Book 11. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

Currently my fourth re-read of this novel, and my third re-read of the entire series. I absolutely love the MacGreagors, and I love the world that Talbott creates.

It takes a lot for a fellow author to completely immerse me in their world, but this novel (and the rest of the series) whisk me away every time. And I really think it is mostly because the characters and their actions feel so natural. Nothing they say or do ever feels forced to happen by the author, and I love it.

It takes amazing skill to write that way. This book is well worth the read alone, but I would suggest starting at the beginning of the series. You won't regret it.

Currently Re-Reading. Absolutely wonderful series of books about four generations of an amazing family. I only have three books to go in my re-read and I'm already starting to feel sad to finish them. I love visiting with my MacGreagors. Once again, I have experienced every emotion possible re-reading them and have enjoyed every minute. These are page-turners and "can't put them down" books. I love them!

A Very Intriguing Story!

Another intriguing story in Marti's Highlander Series. This was an excellent story. I couldn't put the book down to see how it was all going to turn out. If you love clean medieval romance, don't miss a single book in this wonderful series.

This one is my favorite. I've never read a book twice but I might read this series again. I didn't want it to end .
