When Johnnie James, a successful accountant with a prestigious Atlanta firm, comes to Taino Castle, an island fortress once the stronghold of an infamous pirate and now a luxury hotel, she longs to learn the truth behind the hotel and its owner, Esteban Ventura
This was SOOOO cheesy and unrealistic!!! I will never read it again. Aside from the AWFUL romance, the rest of it was really good! It's a shame that such a fast-paced, original story got bogged down by a cringey, blush-worthy romance! This book is written by a Christian author, but it is NOT on my christian shelf because there is so little Christianity in it.
Accountant Johnnie James leaves her Atlanta firm to begin creating a computer system for Ventura Enterprises, Inc. located on a tropical island. The Ventura brothers are attempting to turn an old family property into a luxury resort. Pirates seem to be causing problems and that leads to some suspense and drama throughout the book. This is a generally predictable book, but it is a fun read.
