In the near (or distant) future a new invention (or better said medical operation) sees the light of day and now people can mix their genes with any animal they want. You wanna be stronger, faster or to see or hear better? Would you like to fly or to have a nice fluffy cat tail? No problem now, just a little bit of money is needed. Do you see all the possibilities? You could even become a vampire, just choose the right bat and how cool it would be to have chameleon genes?

It's really a pity that the interesting premise suffers from inexperienced-writer faults.. The story is too slow and too fast in the same time. By that I mean that it could use more suspense, but also some descriptions and characterization. Usually the books with lots of dialogues are the quick ones. However, this time it didn't work for me quite as well and despite its simplicity I couldn't get into it as much as I would like hence my rating.
