"When you reach out for love's embrace, does it recoil from you? Is your longing for an intimate connection to humanity frustrated by your otherness? Does the perfect life that you have envisioned for yourself deftly elude your grasp? Do not be disappointed." Permanent Dark explores what it is to have power over someone's imagination and to be held captive by the apparition of one's past.
Could see this being a Black Mirror episode. A bit odd but worth the read. Epilogue took me out and the lack of reviews kinda makes it hit harder which I why I really need more people to read it
