Okay, I'm finished. Now who would like to finance my culinary tour of Spain?

I was every little story the author told with each recipe. He brings Spain alive through food and the photography is stunning. Many of the recipes have very hard to find ingredients in the US. I have not have not tried any of the recipes, though I tabbed over a dozen pages. If you want to understand the gastronomy of Spain and how it fits into the culture, this is a great book for that. If I try any of the recipes, I may update this review and my rating. After all, a cookbook should be rated on the quality of the recipes.

One of the most exciting Spanish cookbooks I've seen! Great traditional recipes and descriptive writing that reminds me of my time in Spain. Highly recommended for aficionados of Spanish cuisine.

Beautiful photos, though not always of the food. A lot of recipes focused on seafood or fare not as easily available at the local grocer. Perhaps better as a travel log than a cookbook.
