Rate this book
The stories in this book are about people who looked at things and wondered if they could make something else happen with what they saw. They took another look at an ordinary thing and they asked, "What if...?" and went on to do something wonderful. They made an important association or connection. Their What ifs changed your life and mine for the better. There is information in this book about people who invented the ball point pen, ice cream in a cone, hot air balloons, cash registers, French fries, Levis and Jeans, mailboxes, the shopping cart, skyscrapers, and all kinds of useful things that we depend on to make our life better and easier. And if you haven't done so already, start taking a second look at the world around you, and ask, What if? If could be the most important question you ever asked.

Such a quick read and such a cute little book to kick off the spooky season , the first book man in the mountains is such a TWILIGHT ZONE episode type of story ! I would be scared to go into the woods mountains and meet weird little people to be drugged and wake up go back to town and everyone ages by 10-20 years .. that’s sus ! The second book was of course the infamous Headless horseman of sleepy hallow .. never seen the movie know the premise ish but this book is giving colonial time , it’s giving spooky ghost story by the campfire vibe what ever happen to Krane ..? We shall never know ..

I could connect to the book from when they were talking about Mary Leakey. We were reading about her in language arts.
