Rachel Ann Nunes (pronounced noon-esh) learned to read when she was four and by seventh grade knew she was going to be an author. Now as a stay-at-home mother of seven, it isn't easy to find time to write, but she will trade washing dishes or weeding the garden for an hour at the computer any day! Her only rule about writing is to never eat chocolate at the computer. "Since I love chocolate and writing," she jokes, "my family might never see me again."

Rachel has over sixty published books, including the popular Ariana series and the award-winning picture book Daughter of a King. She enjoys hiking, swimming, spending time with her family, reading, and visiting far off places.

This series (A Bid for Love, Framed for Love, and Love on the Run) was very fun to read. These aren't your typical cheesy LDS romance novels - there's a little romance but mostly adventure and mystery. Great storyline! Highly recommended.

Yes, I know it is fiction. Yes, I know that means it isn't true. However, doesn't the author still have to weave a story that seems believable? This isn't fantasy fiction. This is "realistic fiction," right? How to spell realistic fiction? Not L.O.V.E. O.N. T.H.E. R.U.N. Just one example (I didn't take notes so can't be exhaustive). Fred goes to the cabin post-shoot out. Sees bodies all around. Checks only one body and the guy is alive. What are the chances, right? And then, without checking anyone else for a pulse, despite one guy beating the odds, Fred takes that one guy with him and he leaves? Hmm. This didn't have the over-the-top almost farcical quality of book 2 but it was not really far behind.

SUSPENSE! Newlyweds, Cassi and Jared's lives are threatened yet again by none other than Laranda Garrettson. They're haunted by mobster "Big Tommy" when his son shows up while on their honeymoon no less. I felt like the events in the story were completely believable and realistic. It's what drew me into the story--wanting to know how everything was going to turn out. This is the third in the "love trilogy." They make up one complete story so they have to be read consecutively.

I had to finish this series. It was so compelling and certainly full of excitement and mystery. Couldn't put it down. I was glad to finally get Cassis and Jared to a safe part of their lives. Rachel brings her characters to life for you and draws you into their lives. The only thing down for me was too much murder and revenge. I hope there aren't real people out there like "Laranda",she was a nightmare to everyone. Yeah for good trumping evil.

I don't know why I read these books. I guess it makes me appreciate good writing when I find it ;) But this was just like the previous book in the series - cheesy LDS fiction, too much unrealistic drama, and just sort of lame. The author did much better with the first book, but now I feel like she was just dragging out all of the drama and filling in the chapters with cheese.

The last book in the trilogy, I couldn't keep myself from buying the kindle version moments after I'd finished the second book! There were some parts that seemed a bit unrealistic, as well as some slightly predictable parts, but overall I really loved reading this clean, Christian romance-suspense. It was one that made me sad for the story to end!!

Predictable love story

Even though you knew what was going to happen it still was a fun and suspenseful story. They did have some scary moments and I certainly wouldn't want to be the subject of a mentally deranged art dealer/crook. But glad love won out, good people were safe and now life is normal. I really like that I'm reading a clean bill. Love the way this lady writes!

Good story line, although it seems recycled from the previous book. And who gives an 11 year old a credit card? Also, if bad guys were chasing me and shooting at me, I don't think spreading the gospel would be my first thoughts on people helping me. Perhaps I should repent...

Book 3 in the series - this one was pretty far-fetched - what an imagination to have Laranda come back to life by an imposter. Jared and Cassi were confronted with many harrowing experiences just so that Laranda could finally try to kill them in the end. Funny twist that Sampson should be the one to save the day finding the cord to the generator which cut power to Laranda's plan to unleash a deadly gas. I think I liked book 2 the best...
