Born in Georgia, Martha attended the Cincinnati Academy of Art, and lived in many places, including New York, Alaska, and Washington state, before settling in Honolulu, Hawaii. She had two children, eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
This book is about a little girl who is named Sabrina. Nobody else in her school class is named Sabrina, everybody else shares his or her name with another child, So Sabrina decides to change her name, but then something happens to change her mind. This is Karen's favorite book. She even named her doll Sabrina. I'm not sure why she likes it so much, maybe the size, maybe because she is the only Karen.
