The author of Kiss Daddy Goodnight describes the explosive move from taboo and silence to backlash, discussing the controversy of the False Memory Syndrome and emphasizing the needs of today's children.
This book is incredibly underrated, but it talks about the history of incest during the 70-90s and the connection between incest and feminism so well. You should really read this book! It'll make u understand why incest is the cradle of sexual politics, and how what amounts to sexual slavery of children by their family members ties into the oppression of women and patriarchy. The system that enabled and continues to enable male incest perpetrators is one that has been around for a very long time, and still exists! Very good book, the last chapter One Hell of a Trip is very good at explaining it, and you could maybe just read that part if you don't want to read it all, but you may still be confused since that part is meant to tie up the book.
