what a great story this was! Beth is trying to get her life back after an abusive marriage and a bad car accident that left her walking with a brace on her leg. Trying to feel like an attractive woman again and get her libido going she goes to a bar and is determined to find a man to pick up. Well she sees Daniel and decides to take a chance. What i loved about this little scene is Daniel could tell right from the start that this was not the real Beth and called her on it. So begins the romance between these two. What Beth wants is sex, lots of not missionary position sex! And of my my Daniel gives it to her! (is it hot in here or is it just me).
Daniel is drifting through his life, and he has his own secret he lives with. While I love my tough alpha men, i love how real Daniel is in this story. While i saw Beth as a survivor and struggling to gain control of her life, I saw Daniel as someone searching for direction and someone to love. He wanted a family and a home. *sigh*
This was a great read, it had romance, plenty of hot steamy sex and enough emotion to pull my heart in. I am happy!

Dirty with Teacher
My heart broke for Beth Danube and her boys so many times. Sadly, only one of her secrets surprised me. And I mean sad, in the fact that I was on the money and they weren't happy secrets, not because they were predictable. They were very believable and a reality for too many.
Domestic abuse is never an easy subject, but I think it was handled well, with the actual events being offscreen. There were several references to the past events, but we were spared the details. I shed many a tear with just what was described.
I loved Daniel Coleman's patience as he and Beth traversed from a potential one-night stand to friends and more to everything.
Another relationship came to a foreseeable conclusion with a BANG. Meanwhile, the biggest secret of all came from an unsuspected source.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Daniel and Beth are fantastic together with a really good balance of friendship and passionate fun.
Like the first book, its primary focus may be on the couple at hand, but many get spotlighted. It's honestly my favorite kind of series, but it does mean you should read in order. 😉
I read along while listening to the audio book. The narrator's Tatiana Sokolov. She continues to do a really good job with the various characters.

Oh My! I was hoping this book was every bit as good as the first one. I have to say that it was not, it was even better, This story absolutely WOWED me.
This of course was book 2 in the series and it revolves around Daniel. I LOVED everything about Daniel and the way he treated the heroine Beth and her children.
This story had some real angst to it that just gripped me. Because of what Beth and her children had been through, Daniel had to be careful of the way he went about getting them situated in his life for the long run. In the end, he got them and it was a real HEA ending that brought a HUGE smile to my face.
Once again some of the family members were in this book and I really like that.
This book was a very steamy read and had just a little kink to notch this book to a 4.5 heat level from me.
Now the waiting begins for the next book Rocky Mountain Desire that comes out 3/12, and it is a must buy book for me.

This one is pretty low angst (though with a few potential triggers, listed at the bottom of my review) and features brother #3, Daniel. He meets the mysterious Beth in a bar one weekend where sparks fly - but she slips him a fake number. When they reunite, Beth surprises Daniel with not only the fact that she’s a mom to three young boys but also a proposal of a sex-only relationship. Daniel agreed under the condition that he wants to at least be friends.
This is simultaneously sweet & super sexy. I like that even though Beth is skiddish about a relationship and has a lot of trauma from her deceased husband to get over - she doesn’t play with Daniel’s feelings or waffle. While slow burn in the relationship aspect - the sex is frequent & fun. Beth’s boys are an adorable addition and it’s a treat to witness the whole family fall in love with each other.
We get updates on Blake & Jaxi. A few chapters from Gabe’s POV to tease us about his upcoming book as well as his perspective on some happenings with Matt. (Who gets the next book, Rocky Mountain Desire)
I enjoyed Sokolov's narration. She uses a subtle Canadian accent that continues to remind the listener of where we're at without overpowering the narration/story.

I don’t really remember the first book until about the middle of this one then it all came back.
Overall this book was ok. It was a little predictable but really low on drama which I appreciate. And who doesn’t love a good love story about starting over after a painful past. Especially for a single momma.
Tatiana does a great job with this book. I don’t know if I listened to her do too many MC books or what but I kept thinking Daniel was going to get on a motorcycle.

Lack luster at best. h's personality is so lame and wishy washy. H sounds like a great hot guy that should look for someone worth his while. I couldn't finish the book. It was too much torture.

I got bored and the use of 'darling' and 'Miss Beth' made my eyes roll.
I'm in a weird contemporary mood and I thought this would do as I didn't hate the first one but I was wrong. Not really interested in continuing with this series as I find most of the men annoying and so far I've not been that big a fan of any of the women.

For a story with both MCs dealing with difficult issues, this was really meh. Probably because both seem to get over said issues really quickly. I could have expected that of Daniel, but an abused woman coming of 10 year relationship - which also ended with the death of the husband in an accident - should have taken longer than 6 months to want to jump into bed with a guy. In fact, the whole abusive marriage was really glossed over. I would have expected to know more about why she stayed and let herself be abused in front of her kids.
There isn't much to Daniel, except he's really nice and good in bed. In fact, I'm giving it 3-stars because the love scenes were hot but there wasn't much satisfying about this story.
Not sure if I'll read the next in the series, as like the first book in the series (which I skipped) we have somebody hooking up with a sibling's ex (which is not my favorite trope.) Maybe I'll skip to book 4 and go from there.

The first half of this book was hot. But then the last half sort of dragged for me - the pace of the story seemed slower as the hero and heroine settled into their relationship and became friends (as well as lovers).
I'm not sure if it was just the way the Kindle version was formatted, but the jumps in days/weeks was a little confusing since there was no distinguishing break between one paragraph and another that suddenly had you two weeks later in the story.
Daniel was so sweet. I'm glad things worked out for him. I'm a little surprised the age difference didn't seem to be a problem to Beth or a reason she used at the beginning to keep Daniel at a distance (she was several years older if I recall correctly). The side story with Matt and his girlfriend was strange and the way their relationship turned out was weird but maybe I'm missing something from not having read the previous story in this series. The blurb for the first book isn't compelling enough for me to pick it up, but I will keep an eye for the follow up stories in this series. i'd recommend this for readers looking for a hot romance with a sweet hero.

Wow, I'm still amazed and drooling a little. Vivian Arend, you are awesome.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite cowboy erotica series. Those Coleman boys have the best of both worlds. On one hand they have dirty dirty mouths and know how to use them but on the other hand they have this innate respect and adoration for women.
Totally loved Daniel and was sooo glad he was able to find love with Beth and her 3 boys.

When Beth’s abusive husband died, she decides to up sticks and move away for a fresh start. It was never going to be easy; with three small boys and a leg savaged by the car accident that left her a widow, she was never expecting this to be the least stressful experience but she wasn’t quite expecting the house she was supposed to be moving into to become suddenly unavailable. When a helpful member of the town allows her to temporarily move into one of the homes on their ranch, the last thing she expects to see is a man who was the first one to stir any real feelings in her since her husband. She doesn’t want to get involved with another man, doesn’t want to take the risk that another man abuses the trust of her and her children but can she really deaden her heart forever?
Daniel Coleman is the middle of 6 boys. The middle child, he has always been the calmest of all the Coleman brothers. That is, until he meets Beth at a bar and the chemistry between them explodes. Oh my, this book is HAWT!!! Considering Beth had only had sex with her AHole of a husband in the missionary position before, she certainly didn’t balk at the kinkier side of Daniel. There is sex in the barn, sex in the changing room and, my personal favourite, the hottest darn phone sex scene I’ve read in a book before! Seriously, it was unbelievable how hot it was….that Daniel is a *VERY* dirty boy. One of the best things about this book is the lack of external angst. There is so much hurt and trauma in the past of Beth, I didn’t need side characters to divert away from the core of a very emotional love story.
Beth is a character with so much emotional baggage I was surprised she managed to function at all. The things that she suffered were horrific to read about but even worse for me was that the boys knew everything that she went through at the hands of a man she trusted. I make no bones about the fact that I cried TWICE at this book and both scenes were to do with her children. I wanted her to let Daniel in, wanted her to use him as more than just a sex-toy because they both deserved to be happy. The problem was that if she lets him into her heart, she lets him into the heart of her children and these were some very traumatised boys. I understand the fierce urge to protect them from more hurt, I understand that she was willing to sacrifice her happiness for that of her children but God I hoped she decided he was worth that risk.
Daniel was a cowboy to die for. He was so lovely that I couldn’t fathom an ending to this story where he wasn’t happy. He is a very dirty boy and makes no bones that he has a sexual history that reads like a phone book. However, he has never fallen before, never felt the overwhelming desire to focus all his attention on just one woman until he met Beth. Now everything is different. He understands all of her issues, understands all of her hesitations and he tries not to push, he just tells her how he feels and lets her decide.
He deserved to be happy, deserved to have his own hurts healed but I didn’t know if that would ever happen with Beth.

I loved this book and because it is book two I am more invested in the characters. I love the family interaction. The end scenes with Blake and Daniel were great!! Had me laughing out loud at a few parts as Jaxi was having her babies!!! My heart breaks for Daniel and Beth that they can't have one of their own. ( I know she already has three! But it is still heartbreaking)
I love books where it feels like I am getting to know the family more and more as each book comes. I am looking forward to Rocky Mountain Desire and the others to come.

Beth Danube and Daniel Coleman meet during a night on the town in a Calgary bar. Sparks sizzle but Beth is not planning on pursuing anything with the first man who makes her want to explore her sexuality after an abusive relationship. Then faith lands her right in Daniel’s arms again when she moves to his hometown and ends up in a farmhouse owned by his father. Daniel always wondered why the woman he shared some hot moments with months ago, ran off leaving him with no way to contact her. Now that she’s fallen into his lap, he’s not letting her go again.
Beth has had a rough past, after a terrible accident in which her abusive husband died and she was left with a severe leg-injury, she’s trying to build a new life for her and her three sons Lance, Nathan and Robbie. She’s resilient and strong, despite the adversities she’s been through.
Daniel is the quiet Coleman brother, the peacemaker. He’s confident and direct but he’s also intuitive and compassionate.
I loved this second installment of the Six Pack Ranch series as much, if not more, as the first one. I loved the contraction in Daniel. He is quiet and sweet but also sexually dominant at the same time. I also loved Beth’s strength and her love for her sons and as a reader who likes children as characters in romance, Beth’s sons stole my heart and Nathan broke it when he opened up to Daniel about his fears. No I didn’t keep it dry, but don’t tell me you were expecting me too because by now everyone knows I’m a crybaby when it comes to emotional stuff in books.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN HAVEN is another hot, hot, hot book in this series. Vivian Arend is very talented and creative when it comes to sex scenes. They are explicit and beautifully written and I can guarantee you need something to cool down with once you’re done with her books.
In a rather small page count Vivian Arend delivered a beautiful story, full of loveable characters, hot sex, family dynamics and sweet romance. I didn’t think she could top ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAT with its sequel but she certainly did by giving me the emotional, tear-jerking ending I crave so much in the romances I read.

In general about this series and the writing:
I have found another pack of cowboy siblings to love and add to my keeper shelves because next to the McKays from Wyoming (yup, I’m talking Lorelei James here) I now have the Colemans from Alberta. All the Coleman brothers are undeniably and deliciously yummy, from Blake down to the oh-so naughty double-teaming twins Joel and Jesse whose story I am awaiting with abated breath. From the obnoxious Travis to the quiet Daniel and the mediator Matt, they all have that “come-to-mama-and-let-me-make-you-feel-real-good” vibe that just pulls you in. The bond between them is strong and heartwarming and the banter is highly amusing.
Though I’ve only read these two books in the series (because there are only two so far…I’m pining for the next), I already know that each book has a different and unique vibe to it. Each book fits the personalities of the main couple both sexually and emotionally. I appreciate this in series and Vivian Arend did a great job of it.
Whether it’s straight contemporary, paranormal or cowboy romance, Vivian Arend's writing is so easy and natural it’s no hardship to read. Humorous, hot, down-to-earth…I really like that combination and they keep pulling me back to her books. Shortly I’ll have read her complete backlist and yearning for more if I keep this up…

Daniel is the quiet Coleman brother, the peacemaker. He’s confident and direct but he’s also intuitive and compassionate.
I loved this second installment of the Six Pack Ranch series as much, if not more, as the first one. I loved the contraction in Daniel. He is quiet and sweet but also sexually dominant at the same time. I also loved Beth’s strength and her love for her sons and as a reader who likes children as characters in romance, Beth’s sons stole my heart and Nathan broke it when he opened up to Daniel about his fears. No I didn’t keep it dry, but don’t tell me you were expecting me too because by now everyone knows I’m a crybaby when it comes to emotional stuff in books.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN HAVEN is another hot, hot, hot book in this series. Vivian Arend is very talented and creative when it comes to sex scenes. They are explicit and beautifully written and I can guarantee you need something to cool down with once you’re done with her books.
In a rather small page count Vivian Arend delivered a beautiful story, full of loveable characters, hot sex, family dynamics and sweet romance. I didn’t think she could top ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAT with its sequel but she certainly did by giving me the emotional, tear-jerking ending I crave so much in the romances I read.

In general about this series and the writing:
I have found another pack of cowboy siblings to love and add to my keeper shelves because next to the McKays from Wyoming (yup, I’m talking Lorelei James here) I now have the Colemans from Alberta. All the Coleman brothers are undeniably and deliciously yummy, from Blake down to the oh-so naughty double-teaming twins Joel and Jesse whose story I am awaiting with abated breath. From the obnoxious Travis to the quiet Daniel and the mediator Matt, they all have that “come-to-mama-and-let-me-make-you-feel-real-good” vibe that just pulls you in. The bond between them is strong and heartwarming and the banter is highly amusing.
Though I’ve only read these two books in the series (because there are only two so far…I’m pining for the next), I already know that each book has a different and unique vibe to it. Each book fits the personalities of the main couple both sexually and emotionally. I appreciate this in series and Vivian Arend did a great job of it.
Whether it’s straight contemporary, paranormal or cowboy romance, Vivian Arend's writing is so easy and natural it’s no hardship to read. Humorous, hot, down-to-earth…I really like that combination and they keep pulling me back to her books. Shortly I’ll have read her complete backlist and yearning for more if I keep this up…

Ms. Arend writes love scenes that are sweet and still very erotic. I really liked Ms. Arend's writing style; this story flowed so smoothly that when I reached the end I was left feeling content and pleased with the outcome.
This series had me hooked when I discovered that the setting was a place I am familiar with and this doesn’t normally happen for me. I found that Ms. Arend stayed true to the area with her descriptions and the reality of the surrounding areas and the need to travel outside the small town of Rocky Mountain House. Ms. Arend did a fabulous job of keeping it real, I felt like if I jumped in my car and drove to Rocky I could see this story play out in front of me.
For those readers who like stories with cowboys, hot love scenes and emotional writing I suggest you start reading this series, you will absolutely love it. Vivian Arend has brought together all of these things plus a slice of Canada to her readers and you do not want to miss it. I cannot wait for the next in this series!

Because I read this book first rather than the 1st book , Rocky Mountain Heat and I read it 3 days ago, so I do a re-read :)

Rocky Mountain Haven told the story of the middle son of Coleman's brother, Daniel Coleman. He met a woman, Beth, when he go to bar to watch his troublemaker younger twins. When he feel attraction for her, and give her his number, she suddenly disappear.
Beth Danube is a widow with 3 boys. She have an injured leg and heart, because her husband abused her physically and mentally. Fortunately for her, his husband died at accident, the accident that make her leg broken too. She already make a new life, move to Rocky Mountain, be a teacher and rented one of Coleman's house. There, she met Daniel, man that she met a months before at bar and she avoid because she's too afraid to involved with men.
Daniel want Beth, but she resist him and just want to be friend. Friend with benefit of course, because Beth is not confidence with her sexuality. She sick with monotone sexual life when she still live with her husband and Daniel voluntarily to help her. While their enganged in sexual relationship, Daniel tried to make Beth heart open to him, because he do care and love her, and help her to face her past and make a new life.
Like the first book, the story in Rocky Mountain Haven is so simple, just another life at ranch. The difference are Beth is mature woman, but with a few sexual experience and still recovered from her horrible life. The problem is usual when the heroine is widow, she will start to love again, finding a man, but afraid it will affect her life and her children. So we will see how Beth resolve her problem. Daniel is alpha, yet beta too. I don't know if he at the same age or younger than Beth, but sure he do accept her, and her children, and want to make family with her. The love scene more steamy than the first book, and it considered erotic, but it sweet, sensual and beautifully written. My problem is Beth swore a lot, for a mother, teacher and -seems to be polite- woman, in and out bed.
I would love to read more Coleman's Brother. There are 4 left, Matt, Travis, and the twins , Joel and Jesse. I'm feel sad when I know the author might be not continued this, but read at her website here :

The first book will be released at November this year, follow with the second book at January, and finally, the next book Rocky Mountain Hope , a brand new story of Six Pack Ranch series (wonder who's brother that will told his story) released at March/April!

Right after finishing Rocky Mountain Heat, I ran straight to read Rocky Mountain Haven. These Six Pack Coleman's are keeping me entertained! Blake and Lexi are getting married, but it's all about Daniel Coleman and the lovely Beth Danube.We meet up with Beth out on the town with her sister who has found the younger Coleman twins. Feeling a little to old for the twins, she humors them all until Daniel shows up and he rocks her socks off with a few words, but she isn't looking for a relationship after the death of her abusive husband. With three sons to raise, she leaves the bar and memories of Daniel behind, ready to move to a small town to teach and raise her boys.
Well, wouldn't you happen to know it? Beth moves right in to the town where all the Coleman's reside and nothing is going to stop Daniel this time from getting the woman who twisted his man briefs in a bunch. The two start dancing around each other with secrets they both own. Daniel slowly works on Beth first with dirty talk (oh yes) and then fulfilling her fantasies one by one that don't include the missionary position.
I loved the care in which Daniel takes to win over Beth. He isn't looking for meaningless sex or a one night stand. Nope, he wants all of her, so he goes about seducing her with all the exciting things they can do to each other, while also integrating himself into her life. Beth for her part has a lot of baggage from an abusive husband to get over. Raising three boys isn't easy and she is leery of putting herself in that position again.
I loved out the Coleman's rallied around these two from Jaxi being pregnant and sharing the love with them to Daniel's parents being baby-sitter/pseudo grandparents to the boys. Beth learns not all men are the same and that some men do want a woman who is soft and caring, but also has a passionate side.
This one had some non-missionary sex moments, but at times it also felt a little innocent to me or a little staid in a way. Nothing bad as it was sweet and lovable. The cast of characters in this story keep me coming back for more. I now want Gabe's story as we keep seeing the elusive cousin make entrances in two stories.

Another great addition to “The Six Pack Ranch” novels! This book takes place during and carries on after the end of the first novel. In this story we are introduced to Beth, a widowed mother of three young boys who comes to live in the spare house on the Coleman Ranch. Beth comes from an abusive past and is trying to start a new life for her and her boys. One of the main things she wants to focus on is regaining her faith in men. She meets Daniel Coleman in a bar and the two of them pretty much hit it off. They exchange numbers, but Beth ends up giving him a bad number as she was only looking for a onetime thing and not ready for an actual relationship. So you could imagine Daniel’s surprise when he finds out the woman he’s been pining over has moved into the spare house on his family’s ranch…and sleeping in his old room. Daniel is completely smitten with Beth and would like to pursue a relationship with her, but Beth is reluctant to get involved with anyone after what her husband put her through. She decides to make a deal with Daniel. She will agree to his terms of being friends, if he agrees to her terms of providing her with “non-vanilla sex”…a.k.a. friends with benefits.
There is a lot of learning and understanding in this book, which I think is one of the things that make it a great novel. Daniel is such a wonderful man and a perfect role model for Beth’s young boys. He takes to them so willing and effortlessly that it just makes your heart melt. And with Daniel’s help and patience, Beth learns to let go and be herself again. She becomes the woman she’s wanted to be for so long and it was heartwarming to see her recover from the years of abuse she endured and accept Daniel into her life. Oh yeah, and about that “non-vanilla sex”…I’d say that Daniel definitely delivers on that promise:)

This book sucks!! Did not like the audiobook narrator either. She had one female voice, her narration voice, and one male voice. Hard to tell who was talking.
Problems for these people were always nearly tied up without them doing anything. Ie: abusive husband died. He got mumps and can't have babies...guess what, she can't have more, either (because her cartoonishly bad ex husband made her do stuff and she had such a bad miscarriage that she lost her uterus, or some such crap). She needs a place to live...someone magically moves his adult sons out to let her rent a house. (And he didn't even want to take rent at first). (Who does that? Adult sons are living in a house on the man's ranch. Chick comes to town and needs a place to stay, so man calls his sons and makes them move from the house back to his house in one day. Then later they decide it's too much living at home again and they get trailers; meanwhile the woman stays in the perfectly good house that they own. It's just dumb.)
Everyone in the new town is ridiculously nice. Husband was cartoonishly bad. Main Male character is so sickeningly perfect. And the female one is vapid.
I should have known with a 4.12 (or whatever) goodreads rating that I would not like this. I'm like opposite of what mainstream goodreads likes or something.
The only good thing was that she asked him to marry her. (Coincidentally on the same damn day he was going to ask her)

I adored this book so much. I don't even know where to begin. This author knows exactly how to blend romance and eroticism together perfectly. And then add to that a beautiful extended family of characters that you can't help but love as well, you have the ideal story.
Beth was a strong woman but written in such a way that she was allowed to show her strengths as well as her weaknesses and vulnerabilities. She didn't have to act like one of those horribly stubborn females that throw up road blocks in every direction. She handled each and every situation wonderfully and Daniel was her perfect match. He was an alpha male with a heart of gold. He took to her children and cared for them like they were his own, he also had his own 'reasons' for that. He was careful with Beth and yet incredibly determined to push her past her fears so they could have a future together. It was a beautiful love story. It even brought me to tears a couple times, very touching. It was great to see Blake and Jaxi again as well.
The only thing I hated was when it ended and now we have to wait for the next one!!! Don't miss this series. Start with the first one, Rocky Mountain Heat.

Finished last night and omg, I don't know where to start... I loved this book so hard!

She and her boys move to a new town for a fresh start, new job, and new adventures only to discover the new town is also the home of the cowboy who set her body aflame... Daniel Coleman.
Beth wants Daniel but must work through her fears from the past. Daniel is determined to go as slow as Beth needs as long as they continue moving forward together. The chemistry between Daniel and Beth jumps off the pages; and Daniel's tenderness and care toward Beth's children is so endearing. While I don't usually enjoy children in my smexy romances, Beth's boys grabbed my heart immediately and held on.
