This is a children’s biography suitable for ages 10 and older. There are many photos, stats, and a chronology of his life. No one was bigger than Babe. Beloved by kids and all Americans, he credited baseball for saving him. He had a sad hard life until he was sent to St Mary’s Industrial School at age seven. There he discovered baseball and he was good at it. Reading a juvenile literature book is a great way to get an overview of a subject.
