'Intelligent, funny and irreverent, this is one of finest collections of poems ever made in modern Scotland... Her voice captures uniquely the fragile joy of being alive.' Dr Jim Ferguson

'It is safe to say that there is not one dishonest sentence in this dazzling and long overdue debut collection... truthful, inventive and constantly surprising... Do read it.' A C Clarke.

'In sickness and in health, these smart, wry, confiding poems, some of them in Scots, adopt a tough but tender, often subversive stance... A very good book, that makes for very good company; to be sought out again and again. Brava!' Donny O'Rourke.

Tracy Patrick writes and lives in Paisley. Her debut novel, Blushing is for Sinners, was commended by the Saltire First Book of the Year Award judges 2019. It was listed as one of the Best Scottish Books 2019 in ASLS's online magazine, The Bottle Imp. Blushing is for Sinners weaves its narrative between the thread mills of 1960s Paisley, and the old growth forests of contemporary British Columbia. It tells the story of Jean McParland, a mill worker dissatisfied by her small town existence and humdrum job, whose life is turned on its head when old flame, Billy, is released from jail. Fifty years later, her daughter, Ava, struggling to deal with her husband's corruption scandal and her volatile son, Scott, uncovers a trail of family secrets leading her back to the town of her birth.

Tracy Patrick is author of Wild Eye Fire Eye, a collection of poems inspired by animals in Celtic life and myth, and the relationship between human and animal nature. Each pamphlet was designed, illustrated and hand-stitched by the author.

She was founder and editor of Earth Love, a small press poetry magazine that raised money for conservation charities through its quarterly publications and anthologies. Currently, she is currently one third of Jenny's Well Press, an independent publisher in Paisley.

She has had two plays produced: Three Marys and My Body, My Business
