Quite a surprising and satisfying story. It moves at quite a pace, and I actually didn't mind the ending. I especially liked the middle section in West Australia when the two guys rescue Tai the alien from her predicament and then evade - and even taunt - the military guys. It's a small point, but the author used the word 'wan' (as in 'she gave a wan look') way too much.

I had to stop reading this book or I would have had to stab myself in the eyes with blunt spoons as it was so boring!

A really pleasant surprise,
What started as a book seemingly about digging up ancient alien relics in outback Australia, ends up as two smart a$$ guys in a road trip across the galaxy.....

I do agree with the other review about the ending, it is a bit quick and convenient. Don't be put off by this, the journey is better than the destination:)

Now if only the author would write a sequel.....

Started off really interesting and then slowly went to the land of WTF. Story started well with the premise of alien involvement to turn the ending around so quickly in the last 60 odd pages and end they way it did, could have been better

I would have liked to learn more about Tai and her crew.
