Combined Review for all three Short Stories
There’s not much of a romance in each of them because they are pretty much eroticas. All three have pretty ridiculous plots but very good, filthy smut.
#1 Daddy Goes First - my fave
Henry & Noah, age-gap, father-in-law, cheating
Daddy gets first dips on the wedding night at the new addition to the family after his daughter got married. Family tradition, you know. Pretty cool plot twist and heavily implied HEA.
side note: I had no qualms with the unaddressed barebacking here because the author mentioned it as CW prior to the stories. I can live with that.
#2 Put Me In Coach
Liam & Jonathan, age-gap, stepdad and -son, coach and player
This was really cute and filthy and also a bit surprising with young Liam being the aggressor in their dynamic and when he tries to seduce not only his coach but also stepdad, husband of his dad —who already left them years ago.
#3 Take Me Away Biker
Tommy & Victor, age-gap, kink, motorcycle club
I was looking forward to their little gem of a story since I met them individually in the previous book as Liam’s and Jonathan’s respective friends. Tommy is a super sweet guy who likes makeup and skirts… and bad boys. Ugh, the worship, just grand!

Listen, I’ve expected the marry-the-woman-even-though-you-don’t-love-her-trope. Although, it’s never my cup of tea. In fact, I can say I hate this trope. Reason is, I do not like when it’s written in a way to bring down women in relationships. The man was never in love with her anyway. Men like this already exist irl I don’t need it in my fiction.
Anyway, back to the review. This was pretty much ridiculous. First of all, it was such a surprise that the MC wasn’t a closeted gay man. That was a bit weird to me lmao. The execution was boring. The father was behaving weird with his son-in-law very creepy and not hot. Their first kiss was very rushed. The sex was bland. I wanted to feel the forbidden aspect but it was never there. The chemistry faded so fast bcs of the sex. And what the fuck happen at 71% LMFAO the dad just turn from creepy to psycho. It made me hate him — whatever his name was.
Overall, this was very bad. Hope #2 is better.

Yes, yes, I admit it, the cover did it for me, I was amped up and ready to go for this one.
But damn, this wasn't what I thought it was going to be.
I still read it because it's short, but if I'm giving it 2.5-2.75⭐, it's really generous.
This was a really short novella about Noah, who got married to a woman he was hooking up with because she hot pregnant - don't ask me why, because we live in 2023, but okay.
They got married and the wedding night was supposed to be spent with her (single) dad Henry, just him and Noah getting to know each other, because that's the tradition at their house, you know, with only her and Henry being in that house.
So, now we get to the he's a creeper vibes .
Turns out Mr Daddy over here has been thirsting over Noah since before his daughter even brought him home , because he was somewhat known as an athlete, so Daddy, being 22 years his senior was dreaming of the day when he'll be able to get his hands on him .
This is a very delicate subject that can go very wrong real quick in my opinion, and in this case, it wasn't sexy and it wasn't hot, it was cringe and it creeped me out.
The writing did that, the story wasn't presented as an insanely passionate pining affair, but more like lurking in the background for my baby boy when I finally get to dick him down . 🙄
Henry's sex talk that was so talked about, one of the reasons I gave this story a shot, goddamn, I don't know if I'm living in a different Universe or something, but to me it was mostly just amateurish .

For awhile I didn’t know how to rate this coz it was too short. But since it’s not really a romance, it’s more taboo erotica, it’s easier to rate than a short shorts romance. Since I read “Daddy Goes First” right after “Put Me In Coach”, the contents of these stories mix a bit for me. Both are dirty and taboo as fuck, and therefore just too good. However, in “Daddy Goes First” the roles are reversed compared to “Put Me In Coach”. This time it is the ‘usual’ way, as the dominant is the older father-in-law, Henry, and the submissive is the younger son-in-law, Noah. I cannot really say which of the two novellas I liked better, as both were quite short and hot.

(As are all K.L Mann books) I would have for sure liked to see more of them weather before the events of this book or after it doesn’t matter. It is really good and I loved it! Highly recommended this and any of K.L Mann’s books!
