Sarah J. Maas is a powerhouse in the literary world, and A Court of Thorns and Roses is the gateway to one of today's most fervent fantasy phenomena. This first book is a dual experience: an enchanting fairy tale that suddenly twists into a dark thriller, leaving the reader utterly hooked.

Court of Thorn and Roses: Had a promising start, a young woman hunting in the snow … then it hints at a Twilight style love story, shades of hunger games and game of thrones.

Maas writes well. It is just not my cup of tea.
