Chess & Pine

Rate this book
Even in the same household with the same parents, it’s normal to see siblings treated a little different from one another. However, it’s not quite as normal to have one son restricted from the public world and masked in a full-body suit, while the other one runs off to school for a day of learning. It’s ordinary for a son to bring back a school friend to visit, but still not quite ordinary to have her go missing during their play time. Enjoy this novel, set in the 1950s in Didcot, England, where Chess works relentlessly to find the girl he so quickly lost at the Rington Manor. With the help of a supernatural guide, he unravels clues that tie all of the hardships of his family together into one sequential stream of answers.
