Time to put out…or get out.

Paolo’s Playhouse, Book 2

On the outside, Amy has the American dream. Two busy kids, a job she loves, a big house thanks to her husband’s climb up the corporate ladder. What she hasn’t had in a long time…is sex. Sure, she’s too exhausted at night to think about it, but maybe Will’s long hours at work aren’t the real reason he rarely touches her anymore.

Feeling her marriage teetering on the edge, she rents the voyeur room at Paolo’s Playhouse. Maybe bringing back the memory of the one wicked thing they used to do together will relight the sparks.

Will loves his wife, but she’s never been one to take chances—except for the time before kids, when they’d camp out in a club’s back booth, getting all worked up watching the dirty dancers. Their careers have seriously cut into their “us” time, and if she’s booked them a sexual playroom, it sounds like she’s serious about solving the problem.

When Will shows up way, way late, Amy wonders why she bothered, and if her plan to relight the flame has only made it painfully clear that it’s too late to try.

Sparks flying, angry words flying, clothes flying, and a loving couple trying to find their way back to each other.

Natasha Moore has written a book that should be on everyone's list to read and discuss with their partner, married or not. Its thought provoking, sexy and is written with a intimate knowledge of when a marriage is on the edge of unraveling.

Amy and Will have it all. Great jobs, two kids and what seems like a great marriage. Peel back the layers and you will find a marriage that has lost its spark. The physical intimacy of a marriage is one aspect of a marriage that some people tend to forget about. After reading it last night, I told my husband about it and it sparked a great discussion between the two of us. I'm not sure if Natasha wrote the book with that in mind but its a topic that should be discussed.

On to the book itself...Amy has decided that she and Will need a spark to reignite the sexual aspect of their marriage. She books the voyeur room at the playhouse. It was the thing that they were into when they were dating and before they had children. When Will's late, Amy decides enough is enough. The dialogue between them in the room is spot on and thought provoking. While the sex is hot, that's not what makes this book great. The discussion and emotions that Amy and Will have with each other are what drive the story. Real emotions, real discussions and in the end, the decision to work on the physical aspect of their relationship.

I can not highly recommend this story for every committed couple to read either together or separately and see where the discussion goes. It sparked a discussion between my husband and I last night; to me that's the greatest compliment that I can give an author. Made us think, made us communicate and made me love him even more.

This is the other side of the glass from Flaunt It. This started out quite depressing. A married woman has scheduled the voyeur room for her and her husband as a last ditch effort to bring back the spark in her marriage. Their marriage has fallen into the rut many marriages do after children and jobs and taking care of the house, etc. She and her husband used to like to watch people on the dance floor when they were dating and fantasize about what those people might do later. So she thought bringing that back might bring back the spark. But he's late. As usual. Very late. And she's losing hope. Thankfully, he shows and they talk and get things back on track. It ended up being very sweet. It still ended early (just before 70%), but this one felt more complete. And, maybe because I'm married, I could identify with both characters.

I'm rather fond of the Paulo's Playhouse set up, but this one wasn't as much fun as the previous one in the series, possibly because the established couple in it were a little too angsty for my taste. What I did like, however, was spotting the points at which this story linked to the previous story (both were set up as taking place on the same evening).
