Victims of a new a serial killer found eerily propped up in movie theatres. A killer who will stop at nothing. An ex-con FBI agent with nothing left to lose…. Superstar FBI Agent Morgan Cross was at the height of her career when she was framed, wrongly imprisoned, and sent to do 10 hard years in prison. Finally exonerated and set free, Morgan emerges from jail as a changed person—hardened, ruthless, closed off to the world, and unsure how to start again. When the FBI comes knocking, desperately needing Morgan to return and hunt down a killer leaving bodies in movie theaters, Morgan is torn. Morgan is not the same person, no longer willing to play by the rules, and will stop at nothing this time. In a non-stop thriller, it will be a deadly cat and mouse chase between a diabolical killer and an ex-con FBI agent who has nothing left to lose—with a new victim’s fate riding on it all.

I will finish this series however I am disappointed and don’t like it so far. There is very little thrill in my opinion. At this point it’s repetitive in the books. The only thing that changes is the killer and they add in a small chunk to uncover the mystery on who set her up. The only reason I gave it three stars instead of two was because I thought the serial killer was more interesting.
I'm not sure about the main character in this series. She is so defensive and has such a chip on her shoulder. I keep trying to try to put myself in her position in having spent 10 years in prison for something she didn't do, but I can't relate to her. However, I keep reading the series even though her impulsive accents border on crazy. I guess this is an endorsement. 🤪
I rate it as 2.5 stars as the characters and the plot were very disturbing and confusing. I read books of Blake Pierce before but this is not good compare to the others. Maybe, I wasn’t cut out from his attack of writing or I’m not open minded that much but as far as the story goes, I’m not closing doors and will continue reading his story. Maybe I can struck gold after some time.
I found this quite slow compared to the first 2. It wasn’t bad, I just didn’t enjoy it quite the same. I’ll carry on with the series at a later date because though I’ve lost some interest, I do still want to know who set her up.
Another good read. A little bit of repetitiveness here and there. I am very much enjoying this ongoing story of Morgan Cross. Each new book ends leaving you needing to read the next. So on to book 4.
So far this series is getting better and better! Morgan is so strong and determined and I love her🥰. Though I worry about Derike’s physical condition, since it’s only the third book and he already got a bullet hole on the lung🤣. Poor fella, hope he could make it to the Finale.

This book was very suspenseful. I enjoy the main character, Agent Cross. I hope to find out who put her in prison (Mueller?). Now onto For Wrath . Thanks Blake Pierce for your writing style, very easy to read and hard to put down.
This book will grab you and not let up until the very end. This is the third book in this series and I think they are getting better and better. I read these three back to back. I enjoy all books written by Ms Pierce. This book has a lot of twists and turns and a very scary killer. Morgan does the unthinkable. Will she stay with the FBI? That's the big question. She can't keep getting suspended and not suffer the consequences.
