The key to changing your life for the better lies in the ability to change your thoughts and beliefs. Easier said than done? Yes, if you don't know where to begin or how to let go of your negative programming. Mind Magic was written to let you accomplish the miracle of transforming your life by transforming yourself. Marta Hiatt, an experienced psychotherapist, gives you a full set of easily mastered techniques including self-hypnosis, guided visualizations, and self-healing affirmations. These tools will let you erase the negative mental patterns that poison your life and let your light shine as it was meant to. Dr. Hiatt also explains in clear, non-technical language why these methods are so effective―and reveals some surprising truths about the role of consciousness in the universe. Your future is being formed right now within your conscious and subconscious mind. What you believe and habitually visualize is the underlying basis of everything you experience as reality. If a negative inner life creates a negative outer life, then the opposite is also true. The secret to success is in learning how to transform your inner landscape so your life fulfills your highest promise, and not your worst fears. This is the purpose of Mind Magic . These techniques are easily understood and readily mastered, yet their effect cannot be overstated. Health, love, prosperity, self-confidence, inner peace: there is nothing you can not create when you work with the source―your own mind.
Borrowed this book from my father-in-law, after it caught my interest @ their house. This book is full of wisdom, inspiration, & positive spirituality. It offers great techniques for transforming our life. It helps us realize that we're more in control of our lives than we think (choices!). Basically, we live our beliefs. This book held my interest from beginning to end & I found it very helpful!
This book held my attention from beginning to end! Hiatt handholds the reader, quite simply, to understand how much of what we manifest in our lives is driven by our mind--how we think and what we believe. Transforming! I read this a couple of years ago and just writing a review on it makes me want to go back and read it again.
We all determine the direction of our lives, but most of us do it unconsciously, and the consequence is often chaos. Although we don't have control over everything that happens in our lives, to a very great extent we create our own reality through our persistent thinking patterns. Thus, if you want to know what you've been asking for, look at what you've got.
"Mind Magic, Techniques for Transforming Your Life," not only provides a variety of methods for creating the type of life you want to have, but also explains exactly why and how these techniques work. Unlike many self-help books which simply tell you to "do this" or "do that," Dr. Hiatt's book outlines in simple, non-technical language the rationale behind the various techniques and why they will work in your life.
The book is divided into two parts. Part One is a study of the nature of consciousness, and how our minds work. This section explains why the power of the mind is so effective in producing change in one's life. Rather than ask you to rely on faith alone in using these methods, data is presented from psychology, philosophy and parapsychology to demonstrate how the mind functions, and how consciousness expresses itself in mankind as the life force behind all thought and action.
Part II is a practical handbook on how to apply the theory explained in Part One, and includes guided visualizations, self-healing techniques, affirmations to attract love and prosperity, and methods of inducing self-hypnosis.
This is a good self-help book to help you think positively, however I would have to disagree with her on the part about how you can achieve ANYTHING and have EVERYTHING you want with visualization, which you obviously can't. The end gets more interesting as it talks about how to handle stress
just like " The Power Of Now" I read this book because someone recommended for me. I did not like it either, there isn't any " magical" things in this book.
