Her dad has taken his wife's death hard and started hanging around the wrong crowd and gambling all their money away. Bonnie needs exposure and is obsessed with finding the answers on who killed her. Her dad's final gamit was to gamble away their rent which put Bonnie in a peculiar position in leaving the apartment to go and find money.
She noticed an ad in the newspaper looking for a maid with a good salary which will be beneficial to her needs. However, when she got to the interview the job was with her dad's former best friend. Bonnie wasn't what he was expecting and one look at her was a insta-love and he knew that she belong by his side forever and he kidnap her if he had to get what he wanted. Bonnie was a little bratty, sassy, challenging innocent and defiant young woman. But as time went along she started to fall for her captor awhile playing amateur detective because she thought Blake could help get some. It was a fast paced, and quick read that can help past the time.
