A mixed (in content and interestingness) collection of essays about people and life in western New York (and occasionally other lands). I have to confess that I skipped a few of the essays. The most interesting essays were those that spoke about people, their communities and the historical sources of their culture and family heritage (e.g., "The Piarists, Slawinski, and Wright" and "The Protector").
