Each installment is better than the last. But three took things to a whole new extreme and it was amazing! Similar to book to the book take place in the cast. It’s been in more time there, the reader gets a good understanding of the lore and workings of the Harpyai’s world, and what a world it is.
Jack trying to free Kate well dealing with his past and his family dynamic. There’s a lot more with Jack’s father in this book and the moment between Jack and his father are tent, and so fun to read.
I found it was a much have your focus on Kate throughout this book, which do a lot to help with the lore of the book. Since it’s just as new to the Harpyai as the reader we get to learn alongside her. Send relationships you mix and people to trust even when it’s not the same as the people that Jack trust offers a very interesting dynamic.
As much as I enjoyed the second book, I found this one did everything just a little bit better. The dark scenes were darker, there was more tension, and a diet and deeper into the complexity of the characters. There are several times where I had shocked about what was happening and I loved every second of it.
The author had one hell of a story to tell, and she told the crap out of it! That’s one thing that has been consistent through all three books. The written itself has been top-notch.

Thrill of Pursuit is book three to The Harpies Series by Dina Hawthorn. This book is not a standalone so it is advised to read Thrill of Fear and Thrill of Surrender before reading Thrill of Pursuit in order to know what certain things are and who certain people are in the this secret society.

This book was absolutely amazing. I love dark romance it is my favorite. But this book was next level.
Kate is headstrong, stubborn and just very defiant and I love it. She is the definition of a brat. Watching her overcome a big hurdle for her is amazing.
Jack is similar to Kate in many ways and also super different. He tries to show her he won’t treat her how he was treated and that is so loving and caring. He is constantly looking for signs that she needs help and is caring for her in every way possible.
Andrei is probably my favorite character in this book. He’s just very amusing to me, in how he holds his position and how he reacts to things around him. Very lax and different from other people.
Overall four star book. Absolutely loved the plot it kept me going kept me wanting to read more. It was amazing.

Attention… to understand what is going on you will need to read books 1 & 2 to be able to understand what is going on!!! Now there is more sexual assault and torture and it’s more dark than books 1 & 2. So please make sure to read the trigger warnings. We still focus on Jack MMC who is still trying to protect and free Kate FMC from the castle. But in order to do that he will need her to pass the culling & the hunt. During all these tests Jack is trying to show her that he is caring & loving. Kate as usual is very stubborn and defiant. She is headstrong and knows what she wants.
Book 3 goes more into detail about the culling & how little by little the marquis can get eliminated if they break the rules. The story does have more secrets that come out into the clear (which I’m not going to say 😉) and it’s more understanding of what is going on. But OMG that ending… What a CLIFFHANGER!!!! I was in shock 😯 and my heart was broken 💔😢The question now that I ask myself is? Who really did? Who had the nerve to frame him!!! & why!!?? I just hope Kate comes out stronger than ever after the culling & hunt is done and over with! Since she has endured so much, only because she is a illegitimate. Kate does find out more about herself in this book, including the correct date of her birthday. Jack’s father even confesses a secret he had about how he really met Jack’s mother. Jack’s secret about how he got his scars come out into the light as well… that story was a very touchy subject 😢

🔥darkly delectable! 🔥
This whole series is so darkly delectable... the spice is hooootttt and the disturbing secret society that rules these peoples lives delves further and further down the rabbit hole with each book, weaving a web that's enthralls before the kill.
Kate and Jack have so many secrets about their pasts that surface in this third installment, and the character growth is wonderful.
Also, can I just take a minute and gush about how pretty this cover is??
I definitely recommend this series to anyone interested in dark romance, secret society, and bdsm

This series just keeps getting better and better.
There are so many plot twists and mystery that it keeps you on your toes.
The spice is amazing and the love story unfolding between Jack and Kate is just soul gripping. They both have endured so much pain but together they are slowly putting all the pieces together.
The ending of this book really caught me off guard and I am so worried about how this will affect Jack and Kate!
If you love a good secret society, non-traditional romance, back and forth banter, spice, mystery and so much more this series is a must read!!!!!

From start to finish, I was completely pulled into Jack and Kate’s journey as they fight to hold onto their trust and love under the most extreme, gut-wrenching circumstances. Dina has such a gift for capturing raw emotion — there were so many moments that absolutely broke me, especially as Kate faced some of her hardest challenges yet while still trying to piece together her past without letting it consume her. This was by far an interesting book/concept. The way that Dina wrote the scenes in this book was amazing! There were multiple times that I was scared for Kate and Jack but there were even more that had me loving how they interacted with one another. She also left the book on a great cliffhanger that has me wanting more!
This is definitely a book that you should read if you enjoy dark romance and BDSM.

100/10 would recommend. This series is probably one of my all time favorites. I loved the storyline. I related so much to how stubborn and strong headed Kate is. The fact that Jack and her can just accept each other is amazing. The scene with Marquis Vladimir did me in. I was laughing so hard my husband was asking what happened. Loved it. When book 4 comes out I will definitely reread books 1-3.

This book is the 3rd book in The Harpies Series and is accurately named. This is a dark romance novel and a great one! There was a sea of emotions throughout each turn this story took and the spice... 🤌 I loved the connection between Kate and Jack. I need this series on my shelf. 💚

OMG! I cannot believe the end of this book. I was preparing to give a mediocre review at best. I did not enjoy this third installment as much as the first two...but...the last 30 pages or so had me panting 🔥🔥🔥, crying 😭😭😭, and stunned!

I ran through these three books like it was water and I was in the desert. I love love love this story! I am so bad about giving away spoilers away. So I am just going to say this. Buy buy buy!!!!! You won't regret it!

It started out a bit slow for me, but then ramped up, keeping me intrigued. All in all it is a good book that I would recommend if you like spice!

I found the author on TikTok and I’m so happy I did. This dark romance was right up my alley. Touch her and 💀 vibes, secret society, and the spice scenes were *chef’s kiss*. Jack and Kate had a great story/dynamic and Andrei was my favorite character. A lot of twist and turns and the ending still has me shook. I was an arc reader and this is my honest review.

Wow! This book has me feeling so many emotions right now! I wasn’t sure if I was even going to really get into it, but all I can say is WOW! This is an amazing story!!
