It's about time I finished this book. I absolutely loved this book it was amazing. I love the suspense and mystery. I also really like how both of CJ's nightmares finally came to an end. Such an amazing book and I highly recommend it.

Vay. Fena değildi. Sürükleyici bir polisiye. Olayların bu kadar çabuk başlayacağını tahmin etmemiştim. Ve yanıldığım tahminlerde bulundum. Bu beni mutlu etti. C.J çocukluğunun kabusuyla tekrar karşılaşıyor. Ama kadın dişli çıkıyor benden söylemesi. Birilerini iyi benzetti :D

I wanted to share the story of this book and of my grandfather. My grandfather loved to read and would buy books from garage sales every time he went which is where he came across Last Breath. One of my most vivid memories of him include this book. He was in the middle of reading it and had set it down. I looked at the summary and thought it looked good! I was a big reader, too, which I credit my grandfather for! I asked if I could read it after him and he said to go ahead and start it because it was actually his second time reading it! I told him I would give it back before the end of the day and he did not believe me. This was in middle school when I was very proud of being smart and reading fast. I finished it that night and gave it back. He didn’t and couldn’t believe I had read it that fast and asked me questions about the book to quiz me. I passed of course and I remember how much I enjoyed the book and how I felt so close to my grandfather after discussing it. We both loved it! Years later, he would pass unexpectedly from a heart attack and this memory of him randomly appeared in my mind. I asked my grandmother to please not throw away any of his books because I wanted to search for Last Breath. At the time, I couldn’t remember the name of the author or the name of the book. I looked up parts of what I could remember online about the story to no avail. It would be three years after his death that I was finally able to visit their home. My grandmother had a huge basket of books and I did not find it in that stack. She said there were random books he kept in the garage in his workspace and this book was of course there. I cried when I was able to hold it. I read it on the airplane ride back home and cried after seeing the underlining he did in the book and also his name written in it. My grandfather was the oldest of fifteen children in Mexico and was not able to go to school for long. He got his GED in his 40s/50s in the States and it was one of the things he was proudest of. I could imagine him looking up the words he did not know; he was constantly trying to learn. Though my grandfather is gone, this book is a daily reminder of him. I have a fondness for this book and what it brings to me when I read it and see it. Just wanted to share online so that his story is there forever. Descanse en paz abuelito Nacho. Lo extraño mucho

When I first started the book i though it would be one of the most exciting and suspenseful thriller I have ever read. It really takes your breath away with the very first page. At the beginning we were introduced to soo many characters all of which had the potential to for a really deep development of the story. I liked how it all came around at the end but I am a little disappointed it didn’t reach the story further to it’s core. I feel there were some ideas thrown in the storyline that could have been played with more. Over all the book is really good, it has a lot of suspense and great characters. However, i think all of them have really deep stories and it would have been interesting if we could have a closer look in their lives and all the things that happened to to them that led to what they have become now

New Author again... This book started out with a bang and then as I continued reading was at best a 4 Star... The further I got into the book, I now give it as you can see 5 Stars!!! Especially the last few chapters, WOW!!!

Another of the 99 cent novels. I forgot I even had this one, but had to read it upon discovery. I actually wasn't too disappointed with this one, compared to the rest of the 99 cent flock.
I thought the premise was an interesting one - that a girl is traumatized by a would-be murderer and it drives her life from then, and the parallel story of the murderer and their meeting later. I think a lot could have been done with this premise that wasn't explored nearly enough.
There were a number of plot elements that I thought were unnecessary, and quite a few leaps of logic that the characters made that the author did not bring you along on, so the leaps seemed illogical. I have noticed that trend in the 99 cent books.
I will say, the story was relatively quick moving and exciting at times. I enjoyed that aspect. I was pulling for the main character, and thought she was pretty believable. I thought a lot of the intertwining aspects of the story were really interesting, though some were not explored enough. I did not like the whole ex-husband plot line, but it was done in an interesting way even if I didn't entirely believe the likelihood of it.
Wouldn't really recommend it, but it's not bad if you find yourself with not much to read. Of course, it is better than many of the other 99 cent Amazon books!

Wow! I thought this was a great, well written and suspenseful mystery. This is the second time I have read Michael Prescott and it will not be the last. Quick read that grabbed me right from the beginning and was hard to put down.

I would recommend this book.
This was a very fast-moving plot that it didn't get boring or bogged down. I really thought the insight into the cyberspace was very interesting. The mind of a serial killer like the bogeyman was very scary.

C. J'ye hayran kaldım. Çok mücadeleci ve güçlüydü. Soğukkanlı ve muhteşem bir karakterdi benim için. Bazı yerlerde farklı davranabilirdi ama olsun. Konusu sıradandı hani çok şaşırtıcı, ilginç bir şey yoktu ama hızlı ve heyecan doluydu diyebilirim.

Novela policiaca cuyo principio está muy bien logrado, porque atrapa al lector inmediatamente.
Una niña de 10 años piensa que ya es grande para quedarse sola en su casa alejada de vecinos y de la civilización. Cuando logra que sus padres la dejen sin niñera que la acompañe, recibe la visita de un asesino serial al que ella confunde con el "Boogieman " (el fantasma del closet, de los gringos). De este encuentro se salva, pero 16 años después, convertida en policía, se reinicia la persecución por ambas partes. Bien hecha porque en ningún momento se pierde el interés.

What a terrific read! I actually was a few minutes late to work this morning - I HAD to finish this book! I don't even normally read on weekday mornings, but, after staying up two hours after my bedtime, I had to turn the light out before I was able to finish the final chapter of the book.
Spoiler alert! This book has everything and not one, but two (!), villains. The book is fast-paced, the characters well-developed, and only the most heartless of readers won't be rooting for the main character, CJ. The book was so good that I actually didn't want it to end.

All in all a good read.
The characters, storyline, twists and turns were both interesting and engaging. I found the descriptions of there were just too much. For instance, the description of everything S.W.A.T. wore and did and why. There were several times during these descriptions that I would skip several pages at a time, until the description was finally done. I hate to do that but I also hate to have things explained into the ground.

bu kitaba asla elim gitmiyordu, okuyacak kitap bulamayınca buna bir şans vereyim dedim. oldukça akıcı ve okunması rahat. ve oldukça düşük beklentilerime rağmen beğendiğim bir kitap olduğunu söyleyebilirim. puan kırmam ise kitabın oldukça amatör yazılmış olması, dili çok basit, olaylar kendini tekrar ediyor, tahmin edilebilir vs.

The story held my attention all the way to the end.

Terrifying, scared me silly! Parents, if your child is terrified saying she saw the boogeyman, you might want to believe her! Also, ladies, check for cameras...

I had a hard time not just sitting still and reading the entire book at one sitting. It grabbed you from page 1 and didn't let you go until the very end. This is one of the better suspense books that I have read in a long time.
If you don't like spiders, you may want to avoid this one. There are a couple of places in the book where spiders are involved in the crime or might be a reason for some of the serial killers actions. I don't want to give anything away, but BEWARE.
This is a very fast paced book and the twist that was taken mid way was very interesting and even made it more interesting. This was the first book that I have read by Michael Prescott and I hope to find more and read them.
I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars. Just because I couldn't put this one down. I wanted to see what the next thing was that was going to happen.

The thing about reading murder mysteries is that one get to know all the knick knacks of the game, which justs add to the beauty of the story. Last Breath had a slightly different storyline than other novels in the same genre; but, I am not complaining. I like how the story is intertwined in more ways than one. Michael Prescott portrays the personalities of the characters just perfectly. Realistic but not too shabby to steal away the focus from the protagonists.
Reading about the views of a killer made me realize that there can be a more reasonable side to killing; rather than just for the joy of it. White hot rage combined with searing hate and a dash of suspense makes Last Breath a good read. It wasn't as thrilling as I would've liked it to be but that was the style of writing it, I guess. If given a chance, I would read more from Michael Prescott!
