Age is just a number

As someone who is always on the lookout for ways to stay healthy and active, I was thrilled to come across "Easy Home Exercises for Seniors Over 60" by Ross Taosaka. This book is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to maintain their strength, mobility, and independence as they age.

What I enjoyed most about this book was its simple and clear language, making it easy to follow even for non-exercisers. Each exercise comes with step-by-step instructions, illustrations, and an explanation of how it benefits you, making it easy to understand and execute in the comfort of your own home. What's more, the majority of the exercises can even be done while seated, making them accessible to everyone.

One of the strengths of this book is its focus on simplicity and safety. The exercises presented are straightforward and do not require any specialized equipment, making them suitable for seniors of varying fitness levels and abilities. The author's emphasis on staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition, hydration, and rest is also commendable.

The author, Ross Taosaka, writes of why exercise is good and lists it's many benefits, including how exercise can reduce or eliminate pains and increase your movements, the positive effects of exercise on you physically and mentally, and the importance of aligning your body with your mind. He also includes a 3-day exercise plan you can use as a goal to build on.

Overall, "Easy Home Exercises for Seniors Over 60" is a positive and instructional book that teaches readers how to care for and appreciate their bodies as they grow older. The book's unique and well-researched content on how the human body evolves over time and what we can do to maximize its functioning distinguishes it from other books in this category. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to remain strong, mobile, and independent as they age.

Comprehensive simple but important exercises for seniors, with full explanation

The instructions in this book are written in plain and simple language, making it easy for anyone to understand and follow along. The illustrations provided are also a great visual guide to ensure proper form and execution of each exercise

This guide is definitely a reference for me daily. A simple plan for daily workouts is included and with the way the book is organized it is easy to reference anyone that you may not recall exactly how to do. PS As a senior, I love to have reminders 😀
I'm sure I've been through some stretching and exercises motions and with the weights and without them from decades ago but you don't think about the importance of them when you're in your 20s or 30s but wow what a different stretching makes when you're over 60 and moving the muscle or not moving them. Strong lessons in the content section.

Excellent resource, well written, organized, & motivating!

Easy read, excellent information, and the author gives great information on both essential stretches and exercises to help be proactive with key trouble spots and/or get you back on track if you’re having problems.

Especially loved the introduction which included information on dopamine (and how it’s related to goal-setting), serotonin, oxytocin, and dopamine (which is released with exercise). So, he’s kind of setting you up for success on the motivational front from the start.

Happy Accident

As a 55-year-old who initially misread the title of "Easy Home Exercises for Seniors over 60: 55 Simple Steps to Stay Strong, Mobile, and Independent” as “Easy Home Exercises for Seniors 60-55”
I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with this book and do not regret my purchase. Not only am I future proofed but i will start some of the exercises immediately.

What I appreciate most about this book is its straightforward approach. The language is clear and concise, making it easy for me to understand and follow along, even as a complete beginner. The step-by-step instructions and accompanying illustrations are useful ensuring that I'm performing each exercise correctly and safely.

One of features of this book is how it explains the benefits of each exercise in relation to everyday activities and specific muscle groups. This information has been motivating, as it helps me understand the direct impact these exercises can have on my daily life and overall well-being.

Beyond the exercises themselves, I've found the book's guidance on nutrition, hydration, and social interaction to be invaluable. It has become my go-to resource for advice on healthy aging, and I feel better equipped to make the most of my golden years.

If my first senior moment was buying the book by accident then it’s worked out very well.

I would change the title

Better to call it seniors over 70 or 80
60 is to young in my opinion. Very basic for the person who has never incorporated physical fitness into there life.

Great Book for a New Home Exercise Program

I’m a senior over 60 and happen to need a program to get into better shape . This book helped me get started with detailed information about why a exercise routine is so important. I did know some of the benefits, but the book shared lots of new reasons for me. I really like the easy to understand instructions and illustrations. I’ve started a new program and look forward to referring to my new guide often.
