Jean-Jacques Sempé is equally adept at capturing the little indignities (and triumphs) of everyday life as he is at high farce. Everything is Complicated , the second collection of Sempé’s cartoons, features some of his favourite subjects, such as hapless tourists, pipe-smoking novelists and unruly schoolchildren, as well as people who choose to express their innermost feelings through the medium of the protest sign. À 17 ans, Sempé roule à bicyclette pour un courtier en vins. En 1960, il démarre avec René Goscinny l'aventure du petit Nicolas, dressant une inoubliable galerie de portraits d' "affreux jojos qui tapissent depuis notre imaginaire" (dixit Goscinny). Son humour fin, subtil et allusif allié à un formidable sens du dérisoire caractérisent toute son ouvre. Sa plume traduit sa vision tendrement ironique de nos travers et des travers du monde. Aujourd'hui, Sempé est l'auteur d'une trentaine d'albums. En 1988, il a illustré Catherine Certitude, de Patrick Modiano. Il dessine régulièrement pour L'Express, Télérama, le New Yorker et expose ses dessins et ses aquarelles à Munich, New York, Londres ou Salzburg, où il rencontre toujours un très vif succès.

He is known for the series of children's books he created with René Goscinny, Le petit Nicolas, and also for his poster-like illustrations, usually drawn from a distant or high viewpoint depicting detailed countrysides or cities.

فکر کنم آنقدر که همه ازش خوب گفته بودند، هی منتظر یک چیز خارق العاده بودم و این باعث شد که عاشقش نباشم :( اما این به این معنی نیست که دوستش نداشتم! نه تنها دوستش داشتم، بلکه خیلی هم دوستش داشتم :)
و واقعا.... سامپه هنرمند است :}

Cocuklugumun Pitircik'indan tanidigim Sempé. Sentimental yakinlikla okudum kitabi. Okudum degil, tek tek cizgi cizgi inceledim. Cok az metin vardi, fransizcadan cevirdim onlari. Ilk kez 1962'de basilmis. Yine baska bir zamana gittim. Kapaktaki kadinin okudugu gazetede Prenses Margaret'in kocasiyla iliskisi yazilmis mesela. Bir sayfa kitap, on sayfa google. Boyle okuyorum ben bunlari. Kitap, goturuyor. Eski ama evrensel karikaturler. Guldurdu beni cogu.

Par temps de déprime et surtout en période de Covid-19, les dessins de Monsieur Sempé sont le meilleur des remèdes!
Ce livre de Sempé, composé de 110 planches en noir et blanc pleines de justesse, nous émerveille. Il croque avec un bon gout nos petits défauts, nos faiblesses... Et il est vraiment difficile de ne pas se reconnaitre dans une de ces caricatures gentiment taquinantes. Attachant, attendrissant, ce livre rassemble toutes les qualités pour un bon moment détente.
Je recommande à tout le monde!

2.5* Cute little scenes of daily life. Some are a little outdated- of course no one is dreaming of being Brigitte Bardot's boyfriend these days but just replace her with the next star or starlet and it's the same story of living in your head and not in the real world. Just like today, people compare themselves to others and feel disappointed; people get annoyed with their neighbors... I like the one where the guy's psychiatrist tells him to relax (he's even using a phone in the car!!) Only for him to end up turning his relaxation into a job! These scenes just show that people are true to themselves. Probably only for the true Sempé fan since there's not much text, it's a pretty small book, maybe a nice stocking stuffer

Comme toujours, les illustrations de Sempé sont des merveilles d'humour et de tendresse ! Ce recueil ne fait pas exception, avec de courtes vignettes qui donnent un petit aperçu de la vie des Français dans les années 1960.

ژان ژاک سامپه یکی از کاریکاتوریست‌ها و تصویرگران موفق جهان است. او از سال ۱۹۶۲ چند مجموعه از کاریکاتورهایش را در کشور فرانسه و ۳۰ کشور دیگر منتشر کرده و آثارش به طور منظم در مجلات و روزنامه‌های زیادی به چاپ می‌رسد. شهرت او بیشتر به خاطر مجموعه کتاب‌های نیکولا کوچولوست که درباره ماجرای پسر بچه کوچکی به نام نیکولاست که حاصل همکاری او با نویسنده فرانسوی، رنه گوسینی است. او هم اکنون ۹۸ سال دارد و در پاریس زندگی می‌کند.
طرح‌های شوخ‌طبعانه و نگاه تیزبین سامپه به موضوعات انسانی، بیش از ۴۰ سال است که برای خوانندگان فرانسوی و غیر فرانسوی جذاب و لذت‌بخش بوده است.
اما کتاب «همه چیز پیچیده است» اولین بار در سال ۱۹۶۳ (۱۳۴۲ ش) منتشر شد و برخی موضوعات موردعلاقه سامپه در این کتاب به چشم می‌خورد مانند مردها و زن‌هایی با روحیه ملایم که زندگی جالبی دارند یا افرادی که برای ابراز وجود اعتراض را انتخاب کردند. همچنین در این مجموعه کاریکاتورهایی از توریست‌ها، رمان‌نویس و پسر بچه‌های مدرسه‌ای شیطان را می‌توان دید. سامپه همانقدر که در به تصویر کشیدن توهین‌ها و تحقیرها و موفقیت‌های پیش‌پا افتاده زندگی روزمره مهارت دارد به همان میزان در نشان دادن طنز تواناست.
برای این کتاب گروه سنی تعریف نمی‌کنم چون هر شخصی می‌تواند آن را بخواند و تصاویر را تفسیر کند. ۱۲۴ صفحه دارد و در قطع شومیز به چاپ رسید.
