With all the characters of Sesame Street wanting their broken things fixed, Luis, who runs the Fix-it Shop, doesn't have time to work on his broken clock.
A classic Sesame Street book which adds dimensions to the more, um, human denizens of the Street itself, in particular the good Hearted Latino character Luis, who enjoys fixing things for the Sesame Street Muppets who live there. If only he could fix some time to fix his timepiece, a small old fashioned clock. But he puts himself aside to focus on the needs of others, which is what true heroes do. Luis was one of my personal favorite human characters as a boy growing up on the show, like we all were made to thru no fault of our own. And it never entered my head that Luis was Mexican or Chicano, or that Maria was the same way. It never did, it never will. I only ever saw Luis as a good man, and the actor playing him related to all kids regardless of color or gender. Thus whatever foul trickery the CEOs of PBS did to educate us kids watching Sesame Street might we'll have been corporate sponsored and financed thru corrupt practices....but it was a blessing anyway!!! Later generations of fans are proof positive that corrupt trees can bring forth good fruit after all. Nice try, Jesus, convincing us otherwise. Meanwhile more kids get there education needs from Sesame Street than from any Bible based source. Fix THAT! Three stars Luis is still LA HERMANO!!!!
Who doesn't like Seseame Street and their characters? This book has several of the 'monsters' and a few of the 'human' characters as well.. including Mr. Hooper... the younger generation doesn't know who he is but being a child of the very early Seseame Street Mr Hooper was Seseame Street.
In this book Luis wants to fix his clock but his friends bring things to him to fix... so he has to put off his own item. But friends do what friends need to do.
