I've been writing novels and short stories since I was a young teen. God has greatly impacted me, and I now desire to honor the Lord with my life and writing.
My stories can be read in several online and print publications, as well as three anthologies. My bestselling COIL Series include novels Dark Liaison, Book One; Dark Hearted, Book Two; Dark Rule, Book Three; and Dark Vessel, Book Four, and are available at most e-retailers, as are Jaguar Dusk, a Christian Special Forces novel, Sea Scribe, a Covert Christian Mission Suspense, and End Times Novel, God's Colonel. See my website for other novels and stories added often, including Dark Cover, COIL Book Five, to be out late 2014.
I offer free weekly Christian short stories, or serialized novels, my Author Reflections, and occasional challenges to the Christian Church on my Telbat's Tablet blog at http://ditelbat.com.
When I'm not writing, I'm very involved in Christian ministry. I've kept my home office in the NW U.S. where my assistant, Dee, lives and helps with my editing and writing needs.
My motto: There is no redemption without sacrifice.

Absolutely fantastic!!! I can't say enough good about this book. Except for one thing...David, how could you have thrown in those last two little paragraphs that make it a cliff hanger?! Not nice! But I forgive you. I hate cliff hangers but in this case, the book is so good it just doesn't matter. (I can't believe I said that lol) Seriously though, I wish I could buy this book for every one in my church, and family. While this book can be read by itself, I hope everyone will first read the first book in this series because you'll have double the pleasure that way. This book, and the series for that matter, show a lot of what's going on in the world and in our country. You'll see it through the eyes of both believers and unbelievers. When I say believers, I'm talking about real Christians, who know the Bible well and live it every minute of every day. Reading this will make you want to get even closer to Jesus and do more for His Kingdom. I definitely recommend this book and series!
It was truly as beautiful, even tho the subject matter was, evil and sad.
D.I. gave so many many beautiful Christian values, that only got better and better throughout the novel. How can a person live when being so abused and seemingly no way out, and death is around every corner. Only a firm trust in God, and security in your eternal life.
I cried several times. An amazing and super wonderful novel.
I will pray he will continue to write His work is exquisite!!
I am honored to have been able to read it, this was so powerful and beautiful!
Brody and his team rescue people that have been trafficked and introduce them to Christ. Satan has made good bad and bad good through Glow and elites. Senators are involved in kidnapping to change the world according to their agenda. While TROAS are wanted criminals charged with international human trafficking. But that does not stop Brody and friends. You'll be amazed at who they risk their lives to save. Can't wait for Book 3. This book ends leaving you wondering. Great job as always. Thank you for good clean entertainment and thought provoking reading. May God continue to bless you.
Clean, fast-paced, Christian fiction centered around a brave group of faithful Christians who work to not only rescue those why are trafficked but to reach out to the traffickers as well. Christ’s forgiveness is for all who will turn from their sins and give him lordship. Telbat’s writing is clean and his characters model true belief. He takes a corrupt topic and reveals enough for the reader to grasp the evil of this world without dwelling on the ugly details. I especially appreciate how he connected the funds gained by trafficking with certain elites’ plans to create a new world order. Much to think about. I look forward to reading more by this author and I highly recommend Shadow Slave.
This book bringing to for front the massive trafficking that's going on all over the world. Where their are people with immoral thoughts and action and money to purchase their horrible acts. There will be other worse to meet these demands. People wake up. America is another Siren and Gamorha. I am praying for all of us.
I just finished this two book series. I feel the author handled a tough topic very well. The ugly parts, while hard to read, were also necessary to make the reader understand the the severity of the issue, but the ugliness was not the overall focus. Instead, the focus is placed on how His light can shine through in spite of the darkness.
I have read all the series by D.I. Telbat. Very well written stories with likeable heroes. I recommend all of his works to anyone wanting to read a thought provoking novel with great characters.
An excellently written story based on fact. Not sure if Nicole was based on a real person, but I definitely saw Nancy P! The real life tragedy of human trafficking is dealt with in a Christian manner in this story.
