We Belong Together

He’s happy as a lone wolf

Firefighter Luke Trainer loves his family, but that was where he drew the line. He had no interest in opening himself up to the pain of loving anyone who doesn’t share his blood after the hell that was his childhood. Luke’s carefully controlled life seemed on track. That is, until Quinn Harper came home and wreaked havoc on his heart.

She’s beautiful, distant and wanted to be left alone, which suited him just fine. Then her father’s barn burns down, and a series of accidents suggest that something is off with the Harper family and he finds himself wanting to keep her safe.

Luke gets news that the mother who left when he was a child is dead. She leaves a younger brother that he and his brothers must step in and claim. The life that he’d carefully built for himself was imploding fast. But the one person he found himself turning to constantly was Quinn.

She’s got no time in her life for love

After joining the air force at eighteen, Quinn worked hard to become a fighter pilot, a goal she’s had since childhood. There was no time for boyfriends or fashion, or the things her old school friends had been doing. Dedication and focus was how she lived her life.

She hadn’t planned to go home to Ryker Falls. Her life was the air force, but when her father has an accident, she knows it’s time. Time to reassess what she’s realized. Quinn wanted a place to call home, and someone to share it with.

Finding the sexy Luke Trainer still there had been a surprise. The man had turned his life around, but like her, she knew beneath the surface there were demons. When they are continually thrown together, she realizes that in Luke she’s found something she never knew she was missing. Someone who understands her.

As their spark of attraction flares into a fully fledged inferno, Quinn and Luke are facing a scary, uncertain future. Will forgiveness allow them the chance to make things work? Or will the scars and danger of the past keep them apart forever?

We Belong together is the seventh book in the Ryker Falls series.
This one is about the youngest Trainer-brother, Luke, and Quinn Harper, a local girl who joined the air force at the age of 18 to become a fighter pilot.

When Quinn comes back home for a visit, neither of them are looking for a relationship, not ready to settle down.
When they learn about the death of Luke’s birth mom, their world shifts. They find out they have a younger brother, and they will do everything they can to get him home with them.
When their fling becomes more, they both have to acknowledge that they have found that missing piece in life.

Lani’s stories are so well-written, you can’t put the book down. She makes her character like real life persons, with everyday occurences.
This book has all the angst, drama, emotion and steam that you need.
If you haven’t started The Ryker Falls series, this is the time.
Every book can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend to read them in order, just so you can see each character grow throughout the books.

We Belong Together is the seventh book in the Ryker Falls series, but I read it as a standalone and had no trouble following along. It was well-written, fast-paced, and one of those books that you can’t put down until you finish it. I love small-town romances with extensive family ties and this book fell right into that category. I loved meeting the people who lived in Ryker, the Trainer family, and their friends.
Luke Trainer and Quinn Harper were likable characters and made the perfect couple. I could feel Quinn’s frustration at her mother who kept insisting she needed to get married and have kids. I was sad by the way Mrs. Harper continued to diminish Quinn’s job as a fighter pilot and I loved how the Trainer family supported and showed Quinn respect for her accomplishments. After finishing this book, I added the previous books to my TBR list. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Luke Trainer finally gets his book! The youngest (for now!) Trainer brother has many hang-ups left from his abusive father and neglectful mother. Love is not for him, until Quinn Harper comes back into his life.
These 2 are perfect together, so cute! I loved the way their relationship developed. Both had various issues, the discovery of a new, younger brother and the worries surrounding Quinn’s father and family home all added a little angst and drama.
It’s always great to catch up with this amazing place, Ryker Falls is the perfect town and it’s great to see all the occupants again and see what’s changed in their lives. Can’t wait for more!

First things first, thank you Wendy for finally dedicating a book me! I have literally been rotating the same three workout pant/shirt combos for at least a month. Shameful, but true!

I love Luke! He's such a great hero- handsome, sincere, and ride or die when it comes to the people he loves. Quinn is bada$$ heroine - an Air Force fighter jet pilot she can take care of herself, and yet she still needs a little rescuing. Watching them connect and grow closer together is just the sort of yummy reading candy I except from Ms. Vella. Do yourself a favor and dive right in.

It was delightful to return to Ryker Falls! I love that Quinn is a fighter pilot and I love how much the town loves that she is a fighter pilot. Luke and Quinn are a great couple and the other characters in the town are hilarious and their hijinks are very entertaining. The incidents on the farm are definitely a mystery and I was gripping the book tighter as the danger escalated. It was a great book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I feel like I say this about every book in the series but it’s true! Luke and Quinn’s story has all the right elements to make it a hit. We’ve been waiting to read Luke’s story and you will not be disappointed! Lani continues to make Ryker falls a place you want to live and the characters friends you want to have. Quinn is a kick ass independent woman who is the perfect match for Luke.

Looking for your next favorite author/series? Lani Blake's Ryker Falls series is it! The newest book, "We Belong Together" is a story with love, mystery, wonderful friends and family that support each other. I love the "back and forth" conversations from characters that have depth and honor. I could not put this book down!

Reading this was like being invited to a family reunion of everyone you love.

This is a stand alone story filled with amazing main and secondary characters. I came from a small town and this reminded me of that feeling of everyone caring for each other.

The H is beloved by his family and the town. The h is a fighter pilot and her mother is disappointed in her. I really loved that the h was in the military and had a job that few women hold. Being a female Navy Veteran this touched my heart and enjoyed how she was written. I enjoyed how the h and her dad talked strongly to the h's mother because she was a very opinionated "b". She wants her daughter married and anything other than that she is unhappy.

Romance builds slowly which was perfect. There is lovemaking outside of marriage, heat level 4 out of 5 and described twice. It was filled with passion and I felt a connection to this couple.

There is suspense, villains and many twists. You get two stories in this, one of the romance between the H/h and one with the H and his brother's finding out they have a half brother.

We do get an epilogue 2 years in the future. But, if you want the extended epilogue you have to download it and you're then signed up for her newsletter. I'm not a fan of having to download extended epilogues, but since I love this author I already get her newsletter. I did want to know in the extended epilogue more how her parents were doing.

Many crude words used so be warned.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romantic and steam. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you tidbits to decide to read this story and amazing author.

I received an advanced copy and all opinions are my own and freely given. (ljb)

I could not put this book down! I have been waiting to read the love story of the (formerly) youngest Trainer brother, and it did not disappoint! Quinn and Luke make such a wonderful match, no matter how hard Luke tries to avoid the inevitable. It is always fun to catch up with the whole Ryker Falls crew throughout the story and I laughed out loud at the witty banter between the characters! Quinn and Luke are easy characters to fall in love with and it was so wonderful watching them find eachother! Is it too soon to re-read the whole series?? :)

Loved loved loved loved loved this book. It had everything I could want! The heroine made me feel like every misunderstood kid who's overlooked by their parents because they haven't achieved their folks idea of "success", even though the rest ofnthe world recognise they are KICK ASS! And the hero is just the ultimate misspent youth come good. And the new addition to the family just made it.

And then there's Ryker Falls and its cast of crazy characters. Is it any wonder the local population is growing? Who wouldn't want to live there!? I don't want to know who those people are, because they're obviously wrong lol! It was an absolute blast watching our heroine reacclimate to the crazy that is Ryker Falls hahaha! But they break her down eventually, obviously (surely that can't be considered a spoiler?;P).

Dual POV. Open door. Laughs, suspense, action and some serious kick assery. And of course, HEA. Could be read standalone, but you'll get so much more out of it if you enjoy the whole series.

the beginning of this book felt pretty solid, btu i foudn it kind of just got worse and worse as it went on. my first big red flag for nto enjoying this book was that it was written in third person. sometimes, i can read books like that and enjoy them, but this was not one of those times. i coudltn connect with any of the charcaters, because i just felt so far from them. i think first person enables the audeicne to really get in the heads of the narrators/main charcaters, and i just felt denied that oppoturnity reading this book. i dont think i would ever go back and read this book again, but if i found a book by the author written in first person, i reckon i woudl probably give it a go, because why not. check it out if you feel like it, dont if you dont!

Another amazing book, filled with all our favorite people at Ryker Falls. It was great to finally read Luke's story. Loved Quinn and felt the great connection these two had right from the start. Throw in Nixon and oh my, this book had to be read as fast as I could. Loved it!

Luke Trainer has finally met his match. The last of the Trainer brothers to fall in love and there is no one like Quinn. I was so happy to see Luke finally get a book! And I loved Quinn! Quinn returns home to check on her parents when her dad has one too many accidents lately. Quinn is a fighter pilot in the air force and pretty badass. She is the opposite of being the girly girl her mother always wanted and is still pushing for. Especially since her mother believes that is the only way Quinn will find a husband and give her grandchildren. Can't say I blame Quinn for not coming home often. But despite her pushy mother, she loves her family and likes the idea of coming closer to home. Then she sees Luke Trainer, someone she hasn't seen since she was a kid, and boy has he grown up. Their paths continue to cross while she is home and the chemistry between them is very much there. But things take an interesting turn when Luke and his brothers get some world changing news. Turns out, they have a young half brother from the mother that left them when they were kids. And he needs them now. Quinn becomes the rock Luke needs and soon he has come to realize that his feelings for her may be more than he expected. But with a lifetime of expecting people to leave him, can he open himself to her? Or will he let his fears overtake him? Loved their story! I thought these two were such a great match. And of course it is great to see everyone is Ryker Falls being their nosy selves and try to make these two realize the feelings they have for one another. Another great story to this series and I'm looking forward to the next one!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

she flies jets for the air force. her mom keeps trying to fix her up with a man to get married and make babies

her dad broke his leg and the barn was on fire, she couldnt drag him out and the fireman got them both out just in time

he was one of the bad boy brothers in town (i like this series) but they all straightened out
one brother owns the bar

the mom gave him cookies and said the daughter made them for him as a thank you
she ran into him and didnt know what he was talking about so they figured it out , it was the mom pushing them together

the mom thinks theres something wrong with the dads mind, but 'accidents' keep happening on the farm. he is insisting there is nothing wrong with his mind. he went to the dr and theres nothing wrong with him

she flies the brothers to where their half brother found his mom dead.

they have a fight with his biker dad who doesnt want him. they want him. they get social services to agree to let them take him so they all fly back together. he has adjusting to do

she had sex with the firefighter brother while they were there

then there was a pumpkin race and he stood up for her against this guy her mom set her up with that she doesnt like

there are more things happening on her parents farm. she calls the sheriff and he thinks someone is out to drive them out. she thinks its the man wanting to buy their farm but they dont want to sell. her dad thinks there may be gold on the land

the bad men shot her, the fireman rescued her
she got to come home after 2 years and they were together

I love visiting Ryker Falls and catching up with everyone. This visit focuses on Luke Trainer and Quinn Harper. Luke is attracted to Quinn but won’t admit to his feelings because of his past history. Quinn is home on leave visiting her parents. Her mum is a piece of work, she’s happy to boast all about Quinn’s brother but constantly downplays Quinn’s phenomenal accomplishments and is constantly trying to make her more girlie and attractive to men. I absolutely loved this book. I love visiting Ryker Falls and honestly wish it was a real place because I would up sticks and move there. This book is interesting and at times really quite exciting. I love the evolution of Luke and Quinn’s relationship and can’t wait to read the next book. I received this book from the author. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

At first I'm annoyed with bunch of other characters that spinning my head. I don't even know which person is family by blood, which one is family by marriage or anything else.

But as the book progress I can see the appeal. I hate Quinn's mother, and think that everybody needs to call her out (eventually they did). Quinn, a strong and amazing pilot that made everybody dropped their jaw. Despite being socially awkward, she has a lot of other qualities that made her a good person, a good friend, and amazing partner.

Luke.. You're an idiot. Is it just me or kissing someone else is a big deal? OW kissed him on the mouth TWICE! He didn't even yelled or anything. Then he also kissed Quinn just because (passionately mind you) but refuse to say he got any feeling towards her. Damn, what a moron.

So these 4 stars is all Quinn. Not you, Luke. Go to hell, Luke!

Quinn and Luke—she’s a fighter pilot with the USAF; he’s the incoming fire chief for Ryker Falls. When she’s home visiting her parents, her mother keeps trying to set her up so she can get married and provide grandchildren, and Luke is one of the chosen ones. But when the Trainer me. Learn they have a younger brother a 6-hour drive away, she flies them there. Meanwhile, there are unexplained happenings at her parents’ place—broken machinery, “mistakes” that no one made, a fire in the barn. Everything gets resolved and Luke gets over his attitude that he can’t get involved with a woman—and eventually they get their HEA.

Kinda fed up with the commitment phobic Hs. He was clearly falling hard so I thought he'll cave but he didn't which disappointed me. His reason wasn't that strong here.
Ending felt rushed.
I needed to see Shelly feel bad for how she treated her daughter. But it didn't happen she still treats her like that. It left off there.
They hinted a learning disability thn forgot about it?
Loved Ryker fall. Loved the trainers and everyone else except Shelly. Loved the story as well ig just felt half assed at the end.

Luke Trainor and Quinn Harper’s story brings you back to Ryker Falls. It is like visiting with friends. I love that all the characters of Ryker Falls make an appearance. Luke was a bad boy that turns into a respectable fireman. Quinn left Ryker Falls to become a fighter pilot. She has excelled in her job. When Quinn comes back to visit the sparks fly and their story merges. Truly and enjoyable story that is hard to put down. I was gifted this book as an arc. This is my honest review.

I started with book 6 and then read this one book 7. It was hard to grasp all H /h but I’m enjoying these characters so much. Loved Gracie in this book. Kids add an extra funny and love scenes. I’m gonna read book 8 then I’m going to go back and read some of the books that I missed. Been a long time since I’ve given a 5. I wish author wouldn’t use the Lord’s name in vain but thankfully it wasn’t over the top.

loved it

Absolutely loved this book. Luke was a character with lots of sides and so likeable but Quinn Skye the show. Absolutely loved her character and if I’d been her, the mother would have been toast. Nixon ahh another kid that grabs the heart along with wee Grace. Highly highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially the fact that the main females characters were shown to be strong and positive influences. What I didn’t particularly care for was the ending. I wish there had been at least one extra chapter before the reader gets to “two years later.”
