I highly recommend this book to bodyworkers. It is great for learning and for reference. I use it regularly even for non-massage medical knowledge. The author definitely errs on the conservative side. But, I would expect that on this subject.
Ruth Werner gives excellent explanations and solid recommendations for pathological conditions as related to massage therapy. I recommend this book to every LMT I meet.
I enjoy reading Ruth Werner's take on the power and importance of massage, but for the purpose of passing the Oregon Boards practical exam, the information is better outlined in Dr. Born's The Essential Massage Companion.
this is a great place to start learning conditions. especially with skin disorders, the author's explanations clear and give practical examples to help remember one condition from the next.
Actually, this is the right title and author, but wrong edition, I think. Anyway, good guide pathologies of the different systems especially for people will are involved in any kind of bodywork.
