Wrapped Up in Love and Friendship . . .
Abigail's intense research could possibly save her little brother Roni’s life, but her visa is expiring and she needs more funding. When her best friend Ashley suggests a possible solution for both issues by marrying Ashley’s wealthy brother, it just might work if Connor agrees to this strictly-business arrangement.
Connor and his fiancée Lori were on their way to share the wonderful news with their parents that they were engaged when a car accident took her life. Connor never wants to marry again. But Ashley told him about Abigail’s situation, so he agreed to a fake marriage to help his sister and her friend. As can happen, being together with someone can bring two people together, and he begins to feel a strong attraction to Abigail. Can he forgive himself for the accident that took Lori? Will he allow himself to love Abigail and make a life together with her? Or will he continue with a fake marriage and walk away once it’s over?
This was a sweet, emotional story line with good characters that the reader can care about. Will Abigail be able to save her little brother? Will Connor’s heart have a chance to heal? Will the two of them find a well-deserved HEA?

I loved the character development in this book. Abigail starts out as shy and quiet, keeping her thoughts to herself. As the story goes on she starts opening up more and sticking up for herself. Connor has a *boatload of trauma* that prevents him from accepting his true feelings for Abigail. They both grew into their character arcs together.
Although I found to be the relationship development to be a little lacking. I would've liked to see a bit more of their interactions along the way, specifically him opening up a bit more before the final few chapters.
There was tension, passion, and a lot of emotions in this story. I loved Abigail's journey to becoming someone who could stick up for herself and ask for help when she needed it. And Connor's journey to being able to open up about his past and move on from it without completely forgetting about it.
We get to delve into what it can be like being a woman in STEM. Men taking advantage of us, being expected to put our careers aside to care for our husbands. But Abigail doesn't let these things stop her from getting where she deserves to be.

Connor wants to help Abigail, so he agrees to marry Abigail to help her with her visa troubles. She is going to school and she is on the verge of groundbreaking research to help heal a family member. Connor has loved once and he's afraid to love again. They agree on a marriage of convenience. What could go wrong? 😉
Connor's guilt is palpable throughout the book, but Abigail's light breaks through. Abigail is a force to be reckoned with and I love that!! She's so strong and she doesn't even realize it!
As they interact, they start to bond, and it's epic… I wish I could have seen a bit more of those interactions. I think it would have made the story epic! I enjoyed the storyline and the spice is 🔥🔥.

Another gem from Karen Winter! Full of her signature angst and complex characters. I loved the plot of Connor and Abbie's relationship as I haven't read something like that before. The backstories of both MCs added depth and pace to their unusual situation. And though I wanted to feel sorry for Connor, poor Abigail and everything that happens to her made my heart break! Just thank goodness for happy endings!
As a note this one is alot spicier than her other books, not a complaint btw. As always her stories are interesting, incredibly well written, fizzing with emotional tension and a bloody good read! This one is my favourite so far!.

A perfect addition to this series!
Connor has vowed to never ever fall in love again. But when his sister brings a petite, shy, clumsy redhead for thanksgiving, and he cannot help the attraction he feels toward her.
Abigail is on the verge of losing everything she has worked so hard for, and the only way she gets to stay in the US and continue her studies is if she gets married and quickly. Somehow, Connor agrees to help Abigail but can she really pretend to be married to this grumpy man, even if she can’t seem to stop thinking about him.
Accidental walk ins, uncomfortable silences and major miscommunication between these two make this a story worth reading.
I read this book voluntarily for an honest review.

The characters are well developed, believable and determined in their priorities. I picked this book out randomly because the cover looked nice and I have to say, I haven’t been reading much in the past but this book, I couldn’t put my phone down! 😮💨
Abbie is a student who needs help to get her visa. Throw in hot older brother from her best friend, and a marriage of convenience. I love how Connor struggles with his feelings after his sad background story. Prepare those tissues babe!

Whew read this in about 3 hrs or less! This is a M/F contractual agreement turned HEA love story with a lot of steam! I have never read this author before but I love that she’s a coder turned author! It was a well written book. I love the story of Abigail and Connor. Connor who has sworn off love after pledging to his dead fiancé he will never love anyone else. Shy Abigail who just wants to heal her brother and needs a way to stay in the USA. What they both find is angst in their own way that turns to desire that turns to love and they both find a way to each other.

I did not want this story to end! It was so fun to read! The build up of everything, the backstories, and family connections, it was timed so well and done with intensity and purpose. This spice burns hot 🥵 🔥🔥
I loved their chemistry, the drama, the whole story! A bit of connection to the first in this series and that was also a fun surprise. As a billionaire romance and marriage of convenience story, this is in my favorites!

Abigail is working on research that if valid will save her brother’s life. Unfortunately her visa is about to expire and she requires more funding for her research. Her friend suggests that she marry her brother Connor so she can stay in the country and find funds to continue research. Now Connor feels guilty for the car accident that took his fiancées life. He no longer wants to find or be in love. So he agrees to help Abigail. This is a great story of people finding love when they least expect to find it. The story has great drama, romance, and some twists and turns.

Out of the 3 books, I think this one is my favorite! I love how absolutely different Abigail and Connor are. She's a bit timid, but oh, so amazing! I love her intelligence and her drive. She doesn't let anyone stop her. I love the fake marriage trope. It's my favorite and worked out so well for Connor and Abbie! She fell first but he fell harder and I love it!!! I really want Ashley's happy ending, and hopefully, there will be a book 4.

Hmm... confliction en masse over this book. Abigail seems very sweet, realistic in character. Connor? Not so much. I can't work out if it's guilt or grief that he's living his life by. Is he a dom or is he just demanding? There are cheesy elements to the story and then some juicy ones, also. Not sorry I read it but I probably wouldn't recommend it or be running back to read it again.

This was my first read from Karin Winter, and it definitely won't be my last. Big city setting, fake marriage, and a grumpy billionaire? I'm sold!
Lots of swoon-worthy moments, plenty of spice, and a storyline that kept me hooked throughout.

Wow. Just.. wow. I loved this book cover to cover. The story is amazing. The characters are aw-inspiring. The story is captivating. I loved every page of this read. It made me laugh, cry and the steamy scenes were on point. I loved this book and cannot wait to devour more.
