It is striking how very few (as in, none so far) decent male characters exist in this series, or in all of Suenobu's work that I've read. In the case of Life, it seems as if it's a shortcut to show how women and girls need to have each others' backs, but the one named male character here is just so cartoonishly evil that it nearly backfires. Still, the unstinting look at what a minefield high school can be remains on point.

Volume 2 takes an already dark experience and amplifies it to extreme heights to ultimately such shocking moments I was not expecting. I audibly gasped as a certain moment that changed everything. Its so harrowing and framed extremely horrific you cant help but feel extreme uneasiness while reading to the point your afraid to read further. It's a visceral experience that can be very shocking to read in a shoujo manga. you have to read this and approach it differently than you would in other stories. Everything is purposely written to be extreme and heightened. It was another memorable volume I wont forget.
This story is based upon a very dismal view of high school students. The people might resemble those imagined by someone outside the clique. It might be an accurate portrayal for some, but not all.
Ok esto se salió de control cuando involucraron al novio de esta otra chica (que es bien tonta la verdad). No me gustó nada el giro, tiene sentido, pero se desvió mucho de la historia y no me convenció para nada
This reminds me of Koizora in a way. Bad things just keep piling onto each other, one by one. But unlike Koizora, this is much more real. The emotions are extreme, the hurt is genuine. My heart reaches out to Ayumu.
No me gustó el giro que tomó en el segundo tomo. Muy tonto a mi parecer. Pensé que trataría el tema presentado en el primer volumen de forma más dramática y menos "enfermiza-pervertida". Dejo la serie aquí
