An excellently written thought provoking book. Thanks to the first hand testimony from the 'girls' themselves and their families, several of whom never met their aunts or remembered their mothers it's as though you're seeing it all through their eyes. It's a very sombre read. my only criticism of the book itself is the fact that are over 30 pages of source reference notes at the back which, if anyone were interested in their origins, are utterly useless because there are no indications in those chapters,ie a small number indicating a source reference as is usual, that these exist
