Catalyst Envisioned

Rate this book
Canis is calm, cool logic... Daesha likes the way noses explode when someone's face bounces off of a solid object... Canis is king of the immortal underground City of Sirus.... Daesha's pretty sure people should worship her every move...Canis is part of a powerful race with the ability to shift into giant wolves, ghost through solid objects and take down small human armies with little effort... Daesha may or may not have a normal human life span, was raised as a resident of a mental institution and just might be the most powerful oracle the world has ever known.

As ruler of the immortal city of Sirus, Canis believes firmly in control, but when he meets a beautiful -- possibly crazy -- human oracle on one of his trips to the surface, control quickly becomes a thing of the past, because she is the catatalyst toa bond that his people thought no longer in existence. Now with terrorism threatening Sirus, he will have to accept his fate and trust what his catalyst has envisioned.

I live on a red dirt country road smack dab in the middle of three tiny towns in Oklahoma with my husband of 11 wonderful, incredibly short years. I have three kiddos -- two boys and a girl -- all March born, three consecutive years. Yep. Three years prego. They are now 8,7 and 6 and I'm learning true patience just by allowing them to continue invading my space.

All joking aside, my family keeps me going.

I started writing when I was 21, stopped when I was 22 for some unknown reason when I got pregnant with the first of the afore mentioned children and didn't pick it up again until 2009. I've since then finished 3 stories and at last count have managed to start 15 others.

Now I'm in the process of trying to change my ways and only work on 1 or 2 books at a time, but seeing as how I caught myself working on a third behind my own back only 2 days after this decision...it might be a tough gig.

I really liked the original storyline of this fantasy romance. I look forward to part two. Basicly there are a bunch of humans that have been blessed by various angels. Each of these humans receives different abilities based on the abilities of the angel that visited them. These humans were meant to be mates to a supernatural race known as the Vryko who are a combination of werewolf, vampire, and ghost. This is the story of one of these humans and her destined mating with one of the twin kings who govern the Vryko. There are a few cons though. The story must be self-published because no editor worth their weight would publish a story with sooooo many gramatical/spelling errors. It really detracted from the story.

What let this book down was the heroine. I think the author was going for feisty, slightly crazy but loveable. Unfortunately for me Daesha came across as an arrogant, self involved know it all who had little regard or respect for anyone else feelings, views or wants. Canis brother kept saying poor poor Canis as a joke but for me it was true. Poor poor Canis.
