This book approached several different issues surrounding women in church leadership. It was quite comprehensive addressing things that I don't think I have heard considered before. While the author is in favor of women in church leadership it was intended more as a guide to women who are considering church work to open their eyes to some of the unique challenges they may face. One major beef I did have was the author seemed to contradict herself on the issue of humility. She claimed that those in church leadership are to be servant leaders, but was disappointed that women were not being afforded places of honor alongside men in ordained ministry. I also feel that she undermines the role of the laity by pushing for women's right to be ordained. It is as though the only way women can be used by God in their calling is through full time paid leadership.
