Angels, first published in 1984, has sold over 250,000 copies. This classic message provides a foundational introduction to one of the most widespread spiritual phenomena of our age. Now with a fre
A great book to teach anyone about angels - dispels myths and helps you to realize the reality of their existence; how they are sent by God to help you daily, not just in the big things but the little things as well. This is a ministry ignored by man or on the other hand is made into fantasy by books, films, cartoons etc.
Charles Capps gives biblical examples of angelic visitation and proves that they are still with us today by giving accounts of experiences with angels in his life and family.
Fascinating! I've never thought much about angels one way or the other, since I was under the impression (from Hebrews 1) that we aren't supposed to focus too much on them, lest it draw our attention away from Jesus. Because of this, though I'd read all the references to angels in scripture mentioned here many times, I'd never stacked them up or really considered them before. I'm now doing a word study on angels throughout the scripture. Funny how you can see something without perceiving it until someone else points it out to you.
I really enjoyed this book. One of the cardinal points of a good book to me is how many times I find myself pulling this book back off the shelf. I have indeed gone back and looked for refreshment in this one. And so its wisdom is there to remind us again.
I felt as though there was almost too much emphasis on Angels. I also didn't feel as though scripture adequately backed up the text. Anyone can take a portion of a verse & insert it as evidence when in reality you may be looking at 3 words or a sentence out of a larger passage.
