Yet another gem of a story by Mikhail Lermontov, one of Russia's finest authors. And without a doubt, this is one of his best work. Lermontov creates such a dark and misty atmosphere around this wired sequence of events, at times it feels more like a fairy tale. I wish the story was bit longer.
