Dogs are human's best friends, and pets have, increasingly, become more like family members. Your castle is their castle and, with that in mind, this book combines tips and expertise for creating the perfect outdoor environment for your pet and gives answers to common behavioral problems such as barking and unwanted excavating of your yard. Through 170 images, you'll be treated to residential landscape designs that feature "pet friendly" zones, including shade and sun areas, pet shelters, edible gardens, and containment. For landscapers, architects, and anyone who owns a pet, this book is a great resource and offers plenty of ideas for co-habitation.
This is one of the worst designed books I've read in a looong time. The headline and subtitle typefaces are just plain ugly and often orange or green in color with the copy text often white over a forest green background. Even the page numbers are illegible. Photos sometimes don't illustrate what the captions say, many—too many—are product photos from manufacturers. So many bad design decisions... Okay, if you can get over that, the information in the book is just okay and easily and quickly retrieved through reliable sources on the web. The training part of the book takes up a mere 20 pages and is woefully inadequate. Pass this one by.
