Paula on writing-
"So many people question that Scripture is relevant, that it has the answers for us in this day and age, that it can speak to the deepest cries of our hearts.

I believe God's word IS relevant, it DOES have the answers for us even in this day and age and it absolutely CAN speak to the deepest cries of our hearts.

I write to demonstrate that."

i give this 4stars!
who can top the death of boobie eldest's son when he accidentally got shot, and then shannon runaway from home after fighting w/chuck and verbaly confronted chuck's long ago affair, got her flower picked by the playboy, boobie have a breast cancer n loosing all hope. if this was someone's CV, what bobie has been through since book 1 until book 3, then boobie is deserved her own gold medal and having her name printed on the holywood walk of fame.

i personally love this book, more than the first 2 books, here i can feel that boobie finally become a human!!, after she always being programmed to do the right thing and giving her all like a very inhuman being who can make even the bestes wife shake her head, bcoz God wants her to and bcoz she have to do the right thing, for god. in here, she finally got her mental break down, in here, she showing her hopelesness, her doubted, she felt left out, she began to questioning the big "WHY??". the WHY that she was supposed to embraced many years ago when she was faced by chuck's infidelity.
after brad's death and shanon goes M.I.A, boobie was diagnosed w/cancer, she making a decision to not treating her cancer at all, she was exhausted, drained and leaving chuck'c in panic. oh.. speaking about chuck, in here, he was like.. 62? 63 years old and boobie was.. 58? 59? In the first 2 book, i never being convinced of chuck's love for boobie, well, he love her, but he's not love her full enough to treasure her, he doesnt put boobie as the centre of his universe since he still can be affected by tracy, but in here, chuck, 62 years old, he really convinced me that he really really really does love boobie. finally... ofc, 62, old and drained, even if tracy's still alive, maybe chuck wont felt a thing, coz it's 62, where sleeping and sipping your tea and sit down together w/boobie will feel heavenly instead of chalenging the world. time to slow down and he really give boobie the best attention that he can, even more when boobie was diagnosed w/cancer. coz, like the first book, it took chuck's 18years not to love boobie like she deserved to be love, and it took an affair for him to trained himself to accepting and embraced boobie like he was supposed to do all those years, in here, it tooks a cancer for him to really really reaaaalllyyy... treating booby like a queen, he care for her more than what he was potrayed in the first 2 books, you can feel his love for boobie. if he love boobie in the first 2 books, in here, he LOVE boobie.

the emotional in this book is so strong, so human and soo normal.
im no christian, i did my best to following my own reigion's rules and pray to God as what a good human being do, i held onto my pray to god whenever i have trouble, like what boobie did in her own religion, BUT I still letting my flawless human being comeout, i dont PUSHED myself to DO the right thing when my heart still heavily cant accepting the reality, i will give time for my own self to sulk, questioning, throwing tantrum, yelling and denying and maybe make a mess, as long as im not hurting and bring harm to others, i will not pressing the -what i have supposed to do, what i must supposed to do bcoz God's wants me to- when all i feel is.. not now, i dont want to.
this is boobie doing her own version of "why god" after what she think she did in the past, she confronted god by throwing her question of, why god still do this, what was her fault? why she was being thrown into this situation? why taking her son? why shanon runaway?why?? when years ago, she was willing to forgive the most hurtful moment in her life when chuck betrayed her w/his affair in a heart beat, when years ago, she was cafed by tracy and willingly to accepting jack as her own son and recognized him as chuck's n tracy's son no matter how hurtful it sounds to her, she accept all of that w/ll her heart, but then... why she was still be in the hurtful situation again?
so, boobie start to rebel and not readin her bible again, she closed her comunication w/god, she shut chuck's out, she wont do this and wont do that, she didnt smile, nor do trying to having fun. she wants to "sleep" by letting her cancer untreated, after all, wht else her reason to lived when she felt that even god can do this to her?
THAT, my Friend, is something that i longing from boobie since book 1! her human feeling!! not her good-christian-supposed to do programmed. this kind of journey of how boobie dealt w/her problem in a most human emotionally response is what i want to see, and her journey back to hold onto God and finding her way to bcome the most human christian wife, is what makes the result even more sweet.

i love everything in this book! thus, 4 stars!

**SPOILER ALERT: I will give this book 3 stars. Didn't enjoy it as much as the first 2 books in the series but it was good nonetheless. I feel that it could have been shortened and have had the same effect with the whole "my child has run away" storyline. A bit too wordy for me at times and a little redundant in places. Overall, a good ending to a great series by Ms. Wiseman.

Paula Wiseman did it Again!!!

This is book #3 in the Covenant of Trust series and I love it. This one tugged on my heart like I was there with each character. What I love the most is how Paula allowed us to see how God was answering prayers on both sides...the person praying and how things looked from their perspective and the person being prayed for and how it looked from their perspective. We all have been on both side of the praying and being prayed for and it blessed me to see how God is moving in our behalf even when we can't see it. He never stops moving towards us and for us so it's best to TRUST him. This book reiterates the need to be rooted in His love for us. There are some things HIS LOVE will never do and that's give up on us.

I recommend book #3 after you read 1&2....
Now I'm in to book #4

The Molinsky's are a family that you can't help but feel an instant like and kinship to. They have dealt with many emotional issues in the first two books and this books is not different in that regard.

The oldest son is tragically murdered in the first chapter of the book. This opens the door for adversity, exploration of faith, God's hand, repentance, unconditional love, and negative thoughts and emotions.

Paula Wiseman does a wonderful job at descriptive and empathetic writing. As a reader, I understood the characters thoughts and emotions and how they came to their beliefs and decisions. I loved that she illustrated that no matter where we are, or what we've done, God loves us and He does not abandon us.

Loved this series, encouraging for marriages facing challenges and turning to God for reconciliation. Book three deals with the death of a son, a mother's grief and her loss of faith in God.

One of the best books I’ve read ever – would give it a 10 out of five if I could. Definitely worth reading. I experienced every emotion there is while reading this book. Very intense and real. The characters faced every trial you can think of and asked all the questions and experienced all the doubts any of us would have. They made some good and some bad decisions and had to live with the consequences. And God shines through all of it. I highly recommend this book and although you can read each book independently, you will find it more valuable if you read the series in order.

A great ending to an amazing series

There were times when it was so intense that I had to put it down for a while. I thought what other tragedy could possibly happen to this family. It is so realistic and yet truth of redemption flows thru it like a stream. I highly recommend the series and you need to start with book 1 to really appreciate this remarkable family.

Book 3 review

I had to skim read this one. One horrible selfish act brought so much pain through 3 very long books.

But again the writing was good

The third instalment of the Covenant of Trust series is set about thirteen years after Indemnity. It begins with the tragic event of the fatal shooting of Brad Molinsky. In Paula Wiseman's skilful fashion the story unfolds as each family member deals (or doesn't deal) with Brad's death. Other difficult situations arise during the ensuing months: some as a direct consequence of people's actions and reactions in grief, and others unrelated to their grief.

Once again the Molinskys and their wider family find themselves in God's melting pot. Mrs Wiseman deals with each one of them on their journey in her usual realistic and spiritual way. As always, it's a joy to read such a well-written book, and to see each person grow in their faith and character.

(Again, meant to review this way before, but anyway)
Book Three in the Covenant of Trust series definitely does not disappoint. Emotionally engaging, riveting, and gripping--it's the perfect follow-up. Definitely very raw, possibly even more so than the first two. And the faith elements are neither cheesy nor irrelevant. Wiseman has created the perfect story and the perfect follow-up to Contingency and Indemnity.

I enjoyed the other books more. This one had some good elements. However the huge chunks of bible quotes became wearing. The previous books seemed more about how people reached conclusions through spirital guidance, this was just came over as preaching and judgmental

also, the title didn't make sense to me. what is the precedent in this story? Lol.

Beautifully written

With the last installment of this series completed, I read more about people of faith than seeing it firsthand. I enjoyed the trials and tribulations God provided in this story. The struggles are real and wrenching. Forgiveness, love, and faith brought home the prodigal child and bonded a family in another test. One we all can pass through Jesus Christ our Savior! Read this series!!!
