Well written and great reference point. Great overview of many different, but intertwined, topics on (endurance) performance. There are also a lot of exercises at the end that can be used, although of course there are even more that could be added. Maybe a paragraph on how to generate one’s own programme would have been nice or on how to put together various exercises of different exercise groups, but I guess the purpose of a “system” is that you can follow it as you read this book. So this point is more for myself than for the general review here.

This is my second Verstegen book. It focused on recovery exercises. The book is designed for endurance athletes, those who spend hours in their sport and many more preparing for it and are subject to over training. Mark's books are easy to read and challenging to implemented. They change your lifestyle. After 3 years of core work I can attest to the sustainable benefits.
