Mind Surfing follows policewoman Karen on a mysterious, and often times surrealistic, adventure that begins when she seemingly regains consciousness after being violently attacked. It's a real page-turner, although it's the book's deeper message, and underlying philosophy, that impresses the most. Five Stars!

Mind Surfing is Gil Waugh’s first novel and is the prequel to the Karen Simpson Sandalwood Investigation Agency series.

Mind Surfing follows Karen Simpson, a young policewoman caught in the aftermath of a high-stakes drug bust gone disastrously wrong. As the operation unravels, Karen’s life spirals into chaos, triggering a profound transformation—both physical and psychological. Waugh deftly uses a fantasy landscape to delve into her mind, where the boundaries of reality and perception blur, creating a suspenseful narrative that explores the complexities of identity, trauma, and self-awareness.
Through Karen’s journey, Mind Surfing invites readers to confront the intricacies of human nature, survival, and the unsettling forces of the subconscious. As the plot unravels, the story challenges the very essence of what it means to be human and leads readers to an unforgettable conclusion.
