Fast-paced, tight prose, it kept me hooked from start to finish. I'll definitely be reading more from this author. Third in the series and finally back to what I have come to expect from Conrad Jones.....hard hitting, action on nearly every page, and, thank goodness, not a history or geography lesson which in the 2 previous episodes took up more than half of both the books. I started reading Conrad's books with the Alec Ramsay series and really liked his style, although sometimes, for some, maybe a little too graphic but nevertheless fast paced storylines and believeable characters. Jerusalem got back to the action packed narrative I'd come to expect and certainly left me looking forward to the remaining books in the series. Not for the squeamish but certainly hard to put down and Conrad back nearly to his best. I've noticed a lot of other reviews have pointed out the number of text errors and whilst a little annoying, don't let this put you off if you are looking for an exciting read.....Jerusalem is certainly that. Thanks Conrad for restoring my faith in you and I'm straight into book 4!
This author's ignorance is breathtaking! He has no idèa how a car works, he thinks the coil is connected to rest of the electrical system when it is part of the ignition system , nothing more. He still hasn't found out that Blocks Don't have safety catch. God knows what else he has made up as he went along!
From page one to the end the action continued with characters you could relate to. The storyline was interesting to say the least. From dirty bombs to life saving actions what was on the following pages intrigued and enhanced the plot. All in all this was a recommended read.
The third book in the Liverpool Thriller Series. With a threat of worldwide targets and dirty bombs, the Task Force are once again stretched to their limits. This time it’s personal, as individual members are singled out. It seems someone has been divulging personal information about members. To add more misery, Tank’s nemesis goes on the “missing list”.
Typos irritating (manager is spelt manger on a number of occasions) and there is a confusing mix up of characters at one stage. However I still enjoyed the book a great deal.
Yasser is still out there and is yet again able to cause mayhem no matter where he is. Bombs of radioactive material is heading to various parts of the UK is this to cause devastation to our own or is something more sinister going on.
