Limnology is the study of the structural and functional interrelationships of organisms of inland waters as they are affected by their dynamic physical, chemical, and biotic environments. Lake and River Ecosystems, Third Edition , is a new edition of this established classic text. The coverage remains rigorous and uncompromising and has been thoroughly reviewed and updated with evolving recent research results and theoretical understanding. In addition, the author has expanded coverage of lakes to reservoir and river ecosystems in comparative functional analyses.
In my opinion this is one of the best text books ever written. The text is always clear, the figures are amazing, and it's all neatly packaged into a structure that makes sense. The figures in this book convinced me that colors might be the bane of 'great' scientific figures (of course with some exceptions). They are crystal clear. Prof. Wetzel, even in death, continues to inspire fresh (water hehe) scientist and aspiring writers, and has through this book really cemented himself as a personal hero of mine.
One of mine type of book were alot of explanation and deep undertanding what mean By limnology. I love it and I am more than happy to recomend it to others. It is another way of seeing the world in water eye. I have read it slowly so it take long time but it worth it. Thanks.
