Westermann holt in den 70ern das Thema Schöpfung aus der Versenkung und befreit es aus dem Diskurs um Evolution und Kreationismus, gibt ihm einen recht antropologischen Spin.
Interessant, wenn man eine exegetisch bis heute größtenteils wertvollen, lerserliche Einführung in die Texte will.
Oder wenn man Strukturalismus in Action beobachten möchte.

Brilliant book. Easy to read, comprehensive while not getting bogged down in detail. Engaged with scholarship in a way that other books of this level seem afraid to do. Westermann (via his Australian translator) is a brilliant communicator of complex ideas which reads Genesis 1-3 in a way which is both reverent but also fully engaged in the academy. This is how to do it! Highly recommended.
