Katie Flynn was born in Norwich and attended Norwich High School, where she was extremely happy and extremely undistinguished. Published at the tender age of eight, in Enid Blyton's Sunny Stories, she joined a Writers’ Circle as an adult, publishing short stories, articles, etc; only turning to novels in 1971 because the postal strike cut off her main source of income! At first she wrote under several different names – Judith Saxton, Judy Turner, Lydia Balmain, Judith Arden – but her Katie Flynn books were a delight to write and proved far more popular than she had dreamed. She has now published nearly ninety novels, twenty-seven of which are Flynns. Her most recent titles are: Lost Days of Summer and Christmas Wishes.
A good little read . Ginny was such a fabulous strong minded young lass. She had a very horrible start to life with a bitter gran who gave her very little. After a few bad turns Ruth her gran, auntie and uncle young Ginny runs away ti ire jags ti find her dad Michael and I’d family in the farm. I liked Ginny a lot , such a feisty little character.
I don't think I've ever given a Katie Flynn book less than a 5 ax I've enjoyed all the titles I've read and this one was no exception, kept me engrossed right till the last page
I would really like to read more about Ginny’s life as an adult. Ginny’s life story was so very interesting and only covered the first 10 years of her life. I could easily see her story becoming perhaps a family saga done as a trilogy.
I really enjoyed this book it was.well worth the rating . I had the feeling that they would end up on the farm to live happy ever after. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this type of read.
I enjoy reading Katie flynn,s books. I hoped Ginny would make it to the farm to find her dad but at least having Mabel with him he found her and she was safe to at last have a happy life with him ,Mabel and grand parents who would love her.
