Ce volume constitue le troisième recueils de nouvelles de jeunesse d'Isaac Asimov réunies dans l'édition américaine sous le titre THE EARLY ASIMOV.
La suite des nouvelles de jeunesse d'Asimov (voir "Noël sur Ganymède") est également assortie de commentaires bio et bibliographiques qui nous renseignent de façon détaillée sur les débuts de l'auteur. Trois des six nouvelles - "Super-Neutron", "Bon sang ne saurait mentir" (admirable histoire d'un fantôme en Cour de Justice) et "Auteur ! Auteur !" - sont du domaine du fantastique humoristique. Most books of Asimov in a historical way go as far back to a time with possible question or concept at its simplest stage. He often provides and mentions well nationalities, birth, and death dates for persons and etymologies and pronunciation guides for technical terms. Guide to Science, the tripartite set Understanding Physics, and Chronology of Science and Discovery exemplify these books.
Asimov, a long-time member, reluctantly served as vice president of Mensa international and described some members of that organization as "brain-proud and aggressive about their IQs." He took more pleasure as president of the humanist association. The asteroid 5020 Asimov, the magazine Asimov's Science Fiction, an elementary school in Brooklyn in New York, and two different awards honor his name.

J'ai lu beaucoup d'Asimov dans ma vie et ce recueil de nouvelle n'est pas le meilleur de ce qu'a fait l'écrivain. Ce sont surtout des vieilles nouvelle qu'il a écrit en début de carrière.
Il y a deux histoires que j'ai vraiment beaucoup aimé. La première est bon sang ne saurait mentir qui raconte l'histoire d'un fantôme qui va en justice pour pouvoir hanter une maison qu'il dit sienne. L'autre nouvelle que j'ai aimé est Auteur! Auteur! qui raconte l'histoire d'un romancier dont son personnage principal devient réel.
Pour les autres histoires, je les ai trouvé plutôt moyenne par rapport à ce que j'ai déjà lu d'Asimov.
