While I've never been much of a comic book reader, I do love the DC Comics stories and buy up every movie pretty much as they are released. The early readers are fun and bring bits of the adventure where I can share it with my young reader. These new "The Dark Knight Rises" series are great and based on the new feature film! The Enginerd even got a kick out of it as he realizes this character and that is from the movie in the reader. From what I hear, Bane is bad, like really really bad. But we know Batman will prevail.

In this Batman it's a bit 'darker' than the regular Batman books... The Dark Knight Rises like the show is on the darker side. But this story doesn't have the traditional Batman saves the day ending; so that kind of made the book more interesting (to me anyhow)My special needs teen age son that enjoys Batman enjoyed it too.

awesome book!!! My 6 year old son has just started reading and had a blast with this one.
