The lengthily titled "In Search of the Perfect Orgasm or How Doing it with a Giant Lizard Can Be Fun" is a (very) short story (15 short pages or so, even including the introduction) from prolific author Dean Wesley Smith. As a typical twenty-something male, both the cover and title of the story caught my eye, not to mention its famed author, who never fails to disappoint. The story originally appeared in the 1994 anthology "Alien Pregnant by Elvis," though it appears here by itself.
Author Dean Wesley Smith starts by giving a short introduction to the story, which helps give some context to the justifiably bizarre piece of short fiction that follows. The actual story is incredibly short, and won't take you but five minutes to get through. After shaking your head upon completion of the first read through, you will immediately want to read the story again in its entirety, just to make sure you understood. And yes, the story is just as eccentric and weird the second time 'round. If you are looking for something off-beat and novel, step right up, you hear? This delighfully strange glance into the mind of Dean Wesley Smith is one you won't want to miss.
I didn't know what I was getting into after I stumbled across this short story. It's a perfect example of how entertaining a story of any length can be.
